New dawn in Ioway...

It is a new day in Iowa, Lorie and I are now looking with new eyes. Our shop is finally closed. For me, for good, for Lorie, there is still the hope that someday she will open another brick and mortar storefront. She hasn't been doing this as long as myself, so I encourage her to do so. She is a wonderful, hardworking person that has taken on the full time care of her invalid Mother, which makes it impossible for her to have a biz at this time. But I have no doubt that she will achieve her goal...and as soon as she can...as for me, I have been doing a shop for 15 years, so it is deeply ingrained in my soul. But to have a storefront...NOT!!! Helping my daughter in her shop and selling out of Sisters' is a full time job, not to mention a growing pet grooming biz. Right now I struggle to put a candle and soap biz in my kitchen and still have room to eat on my kitchen table...LOL, and I know you-all can identify. But it's coming 'round and now I have the time to reflect on the future and the direction my art will take. More time to sit on my porch in my 'thinkin' chair', with a cup-o-joe and the 'BAD DOG' rooting in the grass for the ever illusive rodent, life is good and I am gonna squeeze all the goody out that I can.
