A woman's work is never done...

A trip to Manley's Antiques is always a feast for the senses. As you stroll through the beautiful vignettes, Leeann has delivered, you have a sense of a woman's world at the turn of the century. Everything implies some sort of drudgery to keep her family well fed and comfortable, as best she could. Beautiful cupboards filled with dishes and the necessities for the home, as cupboards on the walls were nonexistent. The wood-burning stove, heart of the home, wore it's crown, the tea kettle, while socks were laid to dry on it's handle and smells of fresh baked breads waft through the house. Kitchen tables where many a nourishing meal was served or an occasional game of cards was played on a cold winters eve.

Do you remember these things as a child, those little comforts that your Mother or Grandmother served up...I certainly do and those memories have a precious nook in my soul, memories I will serve up in my old-age, as life fades from being. Listen children, these are the stories of 'back in the day' you will tell your children and grandchildren.
