Out my front door...

As I drive the highway from the pink chateau to the city, a city whose population hasn't risen since I was a kid...is an industrial city, run by corporations...corporations that pollute...

...a cloud of corporate smog envelopes a city ravaged by greed...these corps have laid off hundreds of workers my age, those planning on working and have benefits till a respectable retirement age...it's the way of it in today's world...

A grain processing manufacturer...not only do they pollute the sky on a crisp winter day, but the smell can be had for miles all 'round two states...and to add to the mix is our coal powered electric plant...did you know that coal is clean energy...

WHATEVER...

What they would have you believe, as they hold the monopoly all over the states, polluting the air and the waterways and causing cancers to spread rampantly with their coal wastes...but it's about the tax revenues isn't it...

I also live near another polluter, just on the edge of the county line...where it's legal to burn wastes...yes, a logger...oh, the old growth timber that I've seen run through this mill owned by one of the city's wealthiest attorneys...and a slum lord, is a sad state for us that live near...a mile as the crow flies...

Waste, greed, pollution and unemployment...typical of cities in America these days...I think of the families displaced by corporate thugs...now owned by 2nd and 3rd generations of families that started these businesses...whose greed is insatiable...is it a task for karma...

What goes around, comes around...
