Change is good...

When you have a shitty landlord that gouges for rent
and won't make repairs, whatta ya do...
ya move...right!!!
This is the new location of the Junk Asylum...
it will soon reside in Eldridge, Ia.
right off Hwy 61 and I-80...easy-peasy to find.

A diamond in the rough, Lorie has an eye for change
and texture, Lord knows her and I have a history
for change, with all the shops we've shared
in the past...but I think this will be a keeper for her!

A special thanks to Bob in blue shirt on the far left,
you've been a Godsend for Lorie, always there with a
lending hand and shoulder to cry on...
and Jim too, though not pictured, your help with
the painting and drywall work would not have
been possible...true friends indeed...
and of course crazy Melissa and
'the kids', (they have no choice)...!!!

...as the work continues
and the vision unfolds...

...more creative endeavors add to the charm...

Movable walls made of old doors n shutters, will mark
the dealers spaces, as they add their own embellishments
to their booths.

Crappy tiles were pulled up to reveal a funky floor finish
to add to the ambiance of the shop...

...old paneling in this room, with carpets removed,
the floor is painted several layers to give it a
look of old terracotta...

cause you can never get all of the crappy glue off...

Cool huh...

Another window opens for Lorie and The Junk Asylum
and yes I will have soaps in here too...this cottagy lil'
room might just be the perfect spot...
ya think...!
Let me know when the move is in full swing girl,
me n the Ford'll be there!!!
