Playing in the garden one last time,
still have carrots and celery to pull
and if I'm lucky, some brussels sprouts...
AND...my new strawberry bed...
you can never have enough,
so this new 10x10 bed will help
feed my addictions.
Had to share this idea with ya...
why not use an old metal kitchen cabinet
for a chicken nesting box, since
the real ones are hard to find and pricey!
Now where shall I put this fence I
pulled out of a dumpster...heeheehee...

I'm a total sucker for old picket fencing! I was given just about that much, and used it to create a nice little potager garden, where I plant potatoes in the Spring and beets and cabbage once the potatoes are harvested, for a Fall crop. In the Winter it serves as a compost area where my hens can forage (and fertilize the ground!
How come I never find anything that cool in the dumpster? I know you'll do something awesome with those great fence sections!! Any plans for FL trip? I'm headed down first few weeks in Dec...just in case you might be too!! I hope to get to Arcadia this time.
Really nice picket fence! Can't wait to see what you do with it!
Sharon, I am proud of you...great save on the fence girl. Now that's real junking. I love it. Smiles, Susie
Looks like a Happy Chicken to me... and High Five on the Picket Fence 'score'... alas, I thought Bulk Garbage Day {which fell on Veteran's Day} would be delayed due to the Holiday... but it wasn't... and I shudder to think what headed for the Landfill that I couldn't Rescue!?! *arghhhh*
