My gourds got some serious wilt goin' on...
the wind is out of their sails,
my birdhouse gourds...
Turnips and beets...whew...
cukes flat, sunflowers flourish...
Brussels sprouts n broccoli
but the work goes on,
7 more pints for the larder,
no rest for the wicked...heehee!

It is like looking at my own garden. Lets hope this heat wave moves out really soon. I think every pint this year is going to be a miracle.
your poor garden....you need a good old Seattle rain shower.
I just gave up and today went to farmstand and bought strawberries.
I can't seem to get to mine before the birds. At least I will have some in freezer.
geezzzzz, if Jane can't grow it how can I expect to?????
You certainly could do with some rain, the soil looks really hard.
Well done on the preserves.
Girl I think everything you touch turns green!

Those glorious 7 pints are going to be wonderful when there is snow on the ground! Good job!
Tough growing in Iowa this summer, but your stuff looks great!
Wish I could share some of my rain with you... but it comes with slugs... ;)
Big Hugs to you!
Sharon, We just had a sprinkle, about an hour ago...not enough rain to bother with..I have sweated more this week than it just rained.LOL. Your garden is looking like it would love a nice soaking rain. I hope we all get the right amount soon. Don't want the rains Russia is having, yikes. Take care my friend, smiles, Susie
