Back to reality...

 O.M.G.....
Thanks Steph for jogging me back to what I truly love,
G.O.T.H.I.C.

All of the white stuff is great, but I'm so over it,
but, throw in some black tapers and some black marble,
and the magic begins...

  some funky steampunk, then,
 let the games begin!!!

As trends again change, not for the weak at heart,
I'll be right there with my bones...
yet some shops will not turn to the dark side,
I could never pull this off at Sister's Garden and
wouldn't want to, Sisters' is great as is,
but my new space at The Junk Asylum,
will blend the two styles...be afraid Lorie...heh heh...

My studio will evolve as well, looking more like
the back room of a mortuary, love this look!

 Grand pieces will evolve...

 some funky shit will appear...

and I'll be ready with my shit-kickers polished
and ready to roll...let's have some fun with this...K...

I don't know if I have commented but I have been reading your blog of a while .
A few years ago I got wrapped up in the Colonial Primitive look. I changed a lot in my house and made all sorts of prim crafts. But then I realized, it just wasn't me. It's okay to like other things and try new looks but at the end of the day YOU LOVE WHAT YOU LOVE. Honestly, I could totally tell you were a GOTHIC lover and I think It's a perfect fit for you. Have a blast with it! Oh and I remember way back when you made your first Cracked in the head night light. It was frightening but oddly magnetic.

I've always walked a little on the dark side, but good grief...this is fab. You're right about one thing...most folks just.don't.get.it.

That bed & chair...gorgeous!!!! I'm right there with you, I like the gothic style too. Back in high school I was considered a punk girl (we are talking a long time ago)...I wore my army boots proudly! My love of unusual & sometimes dark things are still there! I knew there was a reason that I liked your blog ;)

That dress form is very cool, and I love the studio. That gothic victorian tattered look is totally you. You go! Be sure and show us your new space when it evolves.

That's why I love the Sherlock Holmes movies.......the sets!!!

You are just too cool! I love all the white stuff too, but I love the dark and creepy stuff as well.

Love your boots too. I bought a pair of those a few months ago, but I'm 53 and was afraid to wear them. You've given me the courage to do it.

Great blog!

My son would love all these skulls!! and I agree I love black too...some people say I use it and wear it too much but you never can have enough black!!! LOL :) I guess that makes me a bit of a Gothic too...

Where do I start??? I guess the beginning may help! Your blog is brilliant with a green glow and slashes of purple! Wow what a makeover!

And the chair with a skull has totally grabbed me! Wow is that a statement! Victoriana chic meets Gothic novel! What a clashing of minds!

Congrats on growing "larger than life" in the Junk Asylum! You seem so excited about this new pathway!

I don't suppose the black candles and mortuary ambience of your work room are going to spill over to Scratchy! Like a new punk hair style! Ooooops! Hope I didn't give you a new train of thought there!

And missing you so much at SSS! Sigh...But I know where you are so I can travel your way to find you!

Enjoy your new year dear girl! You're on yet another roll! BIGGEST HUGS!

Image #4 really caught my eye... so Addams Family-ish... LOVE IT!!! I have always enjoyed Oddities and anything that has a Mystique to it, so Gothic appeals to me... guess I could definitely border on the Morbid... Bohemian Morbid of coarse! *Winks*

Happy New Year from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian
