A day at the spa...

The gang, Brandon in the front, are taking the day off to
powder their feathers, they've designated this
area to be the dust bowl...too cute!

While I busy myself with the main run,
they watch with curiosity...
all is finished except putting the wire cover on.

Hey Ma, this is cool, another place to eat!!!
This will protect during the day when I'm gone,
however, at night they will still be shut-ins
until I figger out what goes bump and crunch
in the night...
A light rain is falling, well needed I might add, my gardens
are needing watering to get things growing...
so a cloudy soap-making day in the works...on the farm!

building chicken fences and making soap in the kitchen? the day just simply does not get any better than that!
i debrambled years of overgrown bittersweet. finally a nice day. but rain is coming. 4-5 days they say. oh joy! maybe i should be making soap!
but was barefoot in sandals today. NO wool socks!

I love watching them take dirt baths. Wonder why the small birds like sparrows, take baths in puddles instead of the dirt.

hi sharon, wow those chicks are getting big. growing up, we would get free chicks from the hi-line chick in our town....only to name them , raise them, then eat them..how sad for a kid. but our folks did what they had to do to raise our tribe, 11 kids. yes, our first words were "no it wasn't me"love, susie
