Shadow Shot Sunday...I'm trying...

Do shadows reflected count
Harriet do tell
I seek yet they still elude...

No shadows for dayz in my world...
rain, rain, rain...
but I had a fun day of word play
at Sisters' Garden yesterday!

You may have noticed my playlist is gone,
Playlist is now running ads through their music stream...
methinks to rebel...!
I thought I heard a man in my living room
the other day, but it was a Lowes ad streaming through.
I emailed Playlist and they said that they would
be playing an ad after the first 5 minutes of music, then
every 20 minutes after...
Not on my blog, my music was there for yours
and my pleasure, not for the greed of the money-mongers...
so your imagination is required and if you have Playlist
on your blog, remove it in protest!!!

What next...intravenous advertising!!!

not much in the way of shadows here either...wednesday night's storm was a doozie!! but the photos from sister's are lovely.

i wondered what was up with your playlist!! i pulled up your site yesterday intending to listen to my sweet repose...and nothing...i searched your whole page...darn the advertising anyway!! i don't blame you for pulling it!! it would have scared me to have a male voice talking when i knew no one was around!! it's always something.

here's to's suppose to sunny and 75 tomorrow for sarah's open house...vs the rain and 52 of present. oh well, that will keep me in the house doing what i am suppose to be doing!!
do stop by...i'm never to busy for coffee and friendship.

Ah, yes, it looks like here, too! No storms just rain, clouds and GRAY! I had the same problem with playlist and advertising so I stopped using it, too! You always have great photos, Sharon, rain or not! Hope you get some sun for the weekend!

The shadows are subtle--and no less lovely for being so!

A shadow, a shadow, a shadow you say?
A shadow is coming to dinner today?

Oh, what shall we feed it, and what will it eat?
Just toss down a few rays of light at its feet,

And watch its dark mouth gobble up every ray,
But be sure, my friend, you don’t get in its way;

Keep out of the light so it won’t gobble you.
(If I were the hostess, that’s just what I’d do.)

A shadow is easy to feed, so they say,
So welcome your shadow to dinner today.

Shadows here and there

All we have been having is sun and heat, so there are definitely shadows in our part of the world. I have never done the playlist so have not had your experience, but I do get tired of all the unwanted advertising in general. Loved all of your shots this week. They were great even without the shadows. genie

you know Sharon, I agree with you about Playlist. it used to be my go-to station on the net until they started playing ads. I understand that people need to make money in order to stay in business, and I am guilty of never clicking on their sponsor's ads or donating, I admit it. But I just cannot listen to advertising so there's no way I'm supporting them or even listening to them now, after the fact.
on a lighter note, I see you still have a few pots to plant! we had the two extremes this week - 97 for three days and now 47 for the last two. I still haven't put my tomato plants in the ground but did get the beans, carrots, peppers, and cabbages planted. what a spring this year. but hey, I slept like a baby last night due to the chill so it is good for something I guess. I'll answer your question - in my book reflections count! love it.
and I believe the forecast is for the sun to come out some time today. I bet it's already there where you live :)
have a great week Sharon.

I love your wordplay! We had a bit of sun earlier in the week, but it's wet and miserable now.

I'd love to have the letters that say bloom for my gardens. :) What fun.

I was singing "Wild Thing" by the Trogs when I didn't hear the music rev up! Cloudy here too, although I was in upstate New York during that horrendous hot spell. A/C on full blast for two days, then the defroster on and a sweatshirt on the way home as it was 51 degrees along Lake Michigan in Chicago and Milwaukee. Watch for the travelogue sometime this week.
I may be your way next Wednesday or Thursday as I attend a couple of days of the annual Crow Creek Commemorative Motorcycle Ride. We spend a night in Davenport, then continue through Muscatine on 61 to Hannibal, MO. I plan on doing the part to Davenport, but then return home as I have a family reunion next weekend.
Take care and be well. Love your photos, love your cottage, love your artistic eye.

Love the subtle tones in these photos! Enchanting!

As for your Playlist, I haven't heard your music for about a year! There is a copyright ban on it here! So I saw your player and music titles on your blog but no sound!

We have had many grey days, but this morning is beautiful and sunny! I have been running round my verandah looking for odd shadow shapes from the leafless climbers!

On another blog, saw your comment about crocs found in the lettuce! I presume crocs = shoes? I just think of crocodiles! Still chuckling about this one!

And you have an electric tiller? That sounds like a hand held tool! I'm trying to imagine it! What a great way to reduce the trial and tribulation of digging! When I lived in Sydney, I had nothing but heavy clay soil! I wonder if such a tiller would chomp through that! I certainly could have used such a tiller when I started my garden instead of swinging a pick axe!

Hope your new week drops some sun your way!

BIGGEST HUGS dear sister! Often think of you!

Good for you, getting rid of your playlist. Love your word game though.
Rain, rain here in NZ too, but funnily it is not that cold yet and it is supposed to be Winter.

Thanks for visiting my latest post, thought you may like to know that "Maeratai" means" meeting place at the sea."

Well its sunny here today after a few days of rain and clouds! Lovely selection of photos. How annoying about Playlist though, no you don't want advertising with your music!

I removed my playlist right a-way! Thanks for letting me know! Have fun playing in your garden and shop. Hugs Mary
