Shadow Shot Sunday...Random...

Whilst scoping out a spot for this new piece
I just brought into my studio and admiring the
beauty of the piece, I noticed this random
shadow, it's actually the arm of a chair that got
caught in the afternoon sun...

Another wonderful piece gathered/salvaged
from The Salvation Army store...SWEET!!!

This is the finished table that I showed you
the other day, it's now at Sisters' Garden.

The most beautiful of sea green soaps in the
new scent African Amber...

Fun stuff in my room at Sisters'...

What is it with me and old 'potty' chairs...
I think it's just the patina with this one...

In an old one bathroom farm house,
you can never have enough potty chairs...right...LOL...

A drive to Sister's Garden and Bloom is always
a treat, as the fertile farmland is transformed from
winter's barren plain to fruitful bounties
of corn and lush landscapes...

Scratchy thinks so too, as she sips from her travel cup
and we take photos for our weekly trip
and our shadow shooting tour down under...HERE...

Oh how I adore your little, soft eyed Scratchy! That potty chair is wonderful. Are you selling it??

My mom has a really fab one in PA, but won't ever let it leave her home...E-v-e-r. She actually has in her will that when my brother inherits her house, the house must stay in the family for 3 gerations and the contents, ditto. (Talk about wanting to go down in history!)

what a great score with that dresser. the best junking I ever did was when I lived in Iowa. Scratchy is adorable! I bet a road trip with you guys would be a blast. happy SSS Sharon, and have a fun fun weekend. the sun is here! it's above 60!!!

A gorgeous collection of photos! What a great idea to have a travel cup for a dog! And adore your little corner at Sisters'!

Scrambling through the last of reports! It's been a more tedious process than usual being the one armed bandit, but my head is getting clearer now that I'm not on so many pain killers!

Special arrangements are being made for my return to school! It'll only be part time at first! Still can't write, but at least my arm is moving a little at last! I really thought that it was hopeless!

My greatest fear is my brain will turn to sludge with all these painkillers! So I've been playing Scrabble online like a maniac! It helps!

All my recent photos have been taken from the car or near the car (like my SSS today)! Amazing what you can find even with limitations!

So good to hear your joy in getting out! Enjoy your sparkling weather dear sister!

Have a great weekend! BIGGEST HUGS and a special pat for Scratchy too!

Great shots and salvage. That old table would be just perfect for my studio. I also haunt charity shops and much prefer re-cycled to new.

The wonderful discarded and donated finds that come your way are outstanding - the patina can be imfroved and refinished, thus allowing the sturdy furniture to live again. As it was designed to do in its day. Perfect subjects and shadows!

I cool is that shadow, but I have to say that the table looks superb. Well done.

Your new find is a beautiful one. I also like the Adirondack chair next to that refinished table. I have made them in the past, but not for a couple of years now. I'll have to see if I still have all the pattern boards.I like to use old barn wood and recycle it into a comfortable place to sit and smoke a cigar.
Nice shadows by the way. That first one is unique to me as I can't seem to see where it's coming from. Cool!

Peace

What a cute companion for your drive. :)
I have fond memories of our drive from MN to Sibley Iowa, when I was young. Soooo many corn fields!
