House Things @ Sister's Garden...

Brandon, Brandon, Brandon...
when it comes to trends and display,
he's our man! What great vision he has for his
space at Sisters'...

Each display has focus on current trends,
yet has Brandon's unique skills added to
the charisma of each detail...

Where does he find all this great stuff...!!!

So very earthy and monochromatic...
grays and creams and wood and metal...
art!

I am sooooo drooling over this great cage...

HOUSE THINGS...at Sisters' Garden,
don't you just want to go there...!

I'm totally loving this new soap pan, it gives me the uneven
chunky look, like fresh cut French soaps,
yet the same weight as the regular bars...
can one have too much fun???

Not when you live in a pink house!!!

Shadow Shot Sunday...Before...after...

Quick, before it disappears...the sun...!

You can never have enough yard ornaments...right...
however this is going to be a prop for a photographer
friend, who is doing a shoot here next week...
I may have to get me one of these!!!

These are the before shots before I started
some landscaping projects...

AFTER...
I had an old brick sidewalk I was wanting to remove,
and 'tis the season to start the projects
and boy are we anxious to get going on them.

I also pick up bricks whenever I see them set out for the trash
or anything else for that fact...

This sweet lil' fountain has been in storage for years,
knowing that it would have a special place somewhere...

The digging for the planting is no easy chore,
as this has been a driveway for years, with six
inches of gravel to hack through, I have to use a pick
to get below it.

But next comes the mulch to help with the weeding
and give it a finished curb appeal...

It's slowly getting there...now for a trip to my local
willow patch...my next project is to make
shutters for the doors and corbels for the arbor
out of twigs...a perfect setting for my secret garden
hideaway...just wait till you see what else is in the making...
heehee...!

...as another day in the life at the micro-farm begins
and a fledgling rooster crows...
a time to reflect on those who have paid
the ultimate price for our freedom and our ultimate goal
PEACE ON EARTH
this Memorial Day weekend...!

Check us out...Hey Harriet...

Sumthins' always happenin' at Sisters' Garden...

I always look forward to my weekly visit to Sisters',
I have new toys in my space, to die for
French inspired chairs, who will be the lucky girl
or guy...

White frames galore and cute lil' sayings dot my landscape...

This setting in the downstairs at Sisters' will take
your breath away and so typical of the style
of today...can she cook or what...!

Fun stuff abounds, as...

the goods never end...
ahhhhh...Sisters' Garden and Bloom...
SWEET!!!

Sweet Creations...

New stuff at The Shed...
I love this cute lil' white chest,
you just can't have enough white...right!

How about a bench for your porch or foyer...
Piper has been busy building again,
she found these two great old doors and practiced
her carpentry skills and made something useful...

TO DIE FOR HUH!!!
She also found these great old latch parts
and attached them as arms...
can't wait to see what she's conjured up this weekend...!

I been busy playing with my toys too...

more lunchbox birdhouses...FUN...

...and Dingle Babies...
I had all these stray body parts laying around,
so I thought I had better get into production...

Sick huh...but they've all sold on my Etsy...
and the charm of the sound of the patter of
little feet(and arms) tinkling in the breeze is just way
too sweet, sorta Zen like...well in my world anyway...
can one have too much fun...?!

Shadow Shot Sunday...cottage charm...

Red sky at night,
sailor's delight...
red sky at morning,
sailor take warning!

A brilliant scarlet morning greeted me and my
cup a Joe this morning, as storms loom on the horizon.
We again need the rain, so I won't complain...
I'm just luxuriating in a warm Spring morning,
gentle breezes blowing through my cottage windows...
is it finally here...this Springtime...?

Relic shadows...
again, glimpses of my trophy, a yard ornament
of antiquity, not good for much else,
since the wheels are missing...

Bits of the harness still reside on the floor,
casting shadows of what once was.

'twill soon be repurposed as a trellis...
can't you just see a fringed surrey top of minute
white buds covering it like an Easter bonnet...
me too and perfect for my lil' farm!

Again I apologize to all my old friends
for not getting back to you for comments on our
Shadow Shot Sunday...
but my days are now a blur of yard maintenance
and rushing to fill the stores with inventory...
just know that I think of you all
and hope you have a wonderful weekend of
PEACE!

Withdrawels...

Ya know I don't have a sister, always wanted one,
but TOT is the next best thing...
she has become the bestest friend and partner in crime!
T. and Craigsmith are the most caring, generous family
you can get...I love having them in my life.

And when it comes to pickin',
they got it down...
can you imagine these lockers stripped of paint
VERY industrial!

More and more goodies from Manley's Antiques,
it's always so much fun to schmooze
with Dave and Leanne, not to mention
all the great stuff they have and TOT n Craig love it
'cause nuthin' has to be done to it,
it's ready to load for the next show!

Playful stuff too, wonderful posies made from
farm junk, fun stuff...

Can you say crammed...

Yup...all the way to the back of the truck and we
still hadn't crammed in the Autumn Clematis
I had potted for her...!

But this lil gem is mine all mine!!!
This will be my new trellis for the clematis vines,
won't it be awesome covered in white flowering vines
this fall...yes, yard art at it's finest!!!

All packed and ready to roll with hugs and smooches...
I love you guys and will miss you...
THE END!!!

Phase one...and ol' man winter...

Let's say day one of junkin' was so successful,
we had to borrow Lories' trailer from the Junk Asylum
to haul it all home...

Oh yeah kids, she got some great stuff...!

Let me tell ya, the wheels were turnin' on these two
pickers, to strip or not to strip, you just can't second
guess the master minds at work.
Theresa and Craigsmith were both concocting their craft,
you could sense the wheels turning.
We walked into The Asylum and you hear Theresa
clear in the back yelling...
"Craigsmith come look at these chairs"...
it was great and so much fun!

Then, back to reality...as I was hoeing in the garden
this morning, I noticed frost damage on two of my
tomato plant...in all my years of gardening, this has
NEVER happened to my veggie garden!!!

...and it was only on my heirloom varieties.
This is something to ponder in the future or is
this years' weather just gonna be a booger???

But the cool crops are doing good, the red seedlings
in the back are the beets and a few leaves of the sno-peas,
but we need hot days and warmer nights for anything
to really start growing...GEESH!!!

As you can see, my spring plants are still not quite to peak
and my iris haven't even begun bloom...OK,
now I'm really ready for summer, bring on
the 90 degrees...K...!
