Shadow Shot Sunday...An ode to dawn......

Just an ordinary shuttered window
to some but
in my realm it's the rabbit hole
that beckons an Alice
come hither and join the day
a Winter's schemin'
whilst summer dreamin'
a moody blue morn
rises o'er the purple haze
of the lonely night
sun on golden glittering beams
whisper notes
to the petals that float
on the fables composed in my eye

dare to dream of

me

Speaking of dreams, I had the most glorious of dreams last night,
I was shopping at the Salvation Army
and what treasures bedecked my slumber,
there were gilded, chippy frames, Shabby Chic,
slip-covered chairs, chippy white mirrors,
buffets and farm chairs galore...AND
even a grungy old baby doll(with eyes)
there were also many other shoppers
competing for treasure
and we all knew it...
a frenzy of feeding sharks!
Now I ask you...do I love my job so much
that these gilded dreams
awaken me to a smile...

and the beautiful parlor table in the back of my truck...
OH YEAH!!!

Life is good!

Please skip on over to Harriet's hood
it's that time of the week you know...
is it my imagination or is time speeding up?

DAWN...

at least your dawn does not appear to have the dusting of snow that we have. the UP got a lot of snow last night...we faired better at least. the weather man said we were going to have a warm up to 40 today. happy day. no sun tho.

i am glad you had a happy dream at the salvation army store...you are a treasure seeker at heart. waiting for the woodstove to kick in and warm my feet as my coffee warms the rest of me.

the pots on sunshine...see ya soon!!!

The dawn's light through the shutters means that the new day is upon us, our life to have a new start for whatever awaits...

The table is lovely, a find that will be beautiful in any abode. The horse continues to graze as the sun falls over this chestnut beauty...

I love your shadow shot for the day and your words as always, Sharon! I'm glad you had such a happy dream, too! I love them! And I do love the Salvation Army and Goodwill for finding those things I can't seem to find anywhere else!! I hope you have a great day and a beautiful weekend -- regardless of the weather!

I love the lace curtain at the window. I laughed at the tale of bargain hunting in your dream - does this mean you are just a little bit obsessed!!

the first photo is particularly lovely with the kight playing through the curtain and the blinds. I like the idea too of the window being the rabbit hole

How wonderful, to be able to have happy dreams of your work. I still have nightmares of having to get the paper to the pressmen before deadline, and it's been years since I had to put a paper together.
Your shadow shots are lovely. Thank you for sharing them with a no-longer-Victorian world.

the different shades of light you were able to achieve in this photo are beautiful.

O the lighting in these photos is so magical! Dreamy stuff!

Have I got news for you! It's raining AGAIN! (And has been for the last several days!) And it's cold AGAIN! I just can't believe our weather! Where's Spring - let alone Summer???? I'm sure that Tracey's Brisbane weather must be heaps better than our grim colours in Melbourne!

Report writing is nearly over! Exam marking is nearly over! School is nearly over! Wow am I so glad! I've been battling a migraine over the last several days and I'm sure that stress is the cause!

Wish I could just write and take photos for a living! That would be heaven!!!! But there may be a miracle just round the next bend!
Believe me! I'm looking!

Still love hearing about your dreams and escapades! Your "thrills" spur me on to seek creative adventures of my own with my camera! My sanity!

BIGGEST HUGS dearest soul sister! Always fun to spend time with you!

Love the shadow today...views like this make us want to be silent and enjoy our thoughts & let our imaginations run wild!! LOVE your dream - ha! Maybe you'd better head on over to the salvation army... your dreams might be trying to tell you something! That table is yummy....nice find! It is getting cold and sales are starting to slow down...but we still search for those who want to dump a household of objects for those of us who are ready to find the next treasure.....happy hunting (we know you will be!!) As far as football games - we too are not that big on them - we sisters would rather leave the boys at home and junk :) Have a great weekend Sharon!

Yes, you got that right! (Grin). The older you get the faster time flies.

Indeed many interesting things may be found at the Sally Ann Thrift Shops - and their ilk. ATB!
