Shadow Shot Sunday...Heart in Hand...

'Tis a small thing
the gift of a heart
yet to another
'tis the
immortal all
a thing of beauty
and caring
and commitment
of chocolates
and champagne
of gold
and diamonds
but to some
just a whisper
or a glance
and the touch
of a hand
on yours
a welcoming honor
exchanged among friends
to one another
a bond
a hope
the shadow
of a dream
and a promise
of future
and unending
my beloved

Happy Valentine's Day everyone...head on over to Harriet's place...we're all a waitin'...

oh yeah...

...and a little Cupid humor...
while enjoying one of my favorite fruits the other day,
I spied this potato chip in the shape of a beloved heart...

Is this a sign...

ahhhhh...Sterzings...potato chip love...!

Sorry...I couldn't resist...

So pretty! The whisper, the touch and the glance are worth more than the gold, the diamonds and the chocolates! (well, maybe not the chocolates)
Hey, now you have me craving potato chips something awful, and of course I can't leave 'til the ice melts, who know when that will be! I get cabin fever after 24 hours DO you do it up North?

I love the old fashioned graphics on the potato chips bag and the "Tri-Some" slogan - sometimes older is better!

Beautiful words Sharon! (we HEART the shadow too!)
We'd take the "wisper & the glance" any day - we both decided that we are super glad that our husbands are not overly mushy-gusy...we'd get sick for sure! ha!
Happy SSS & Valentines day!

The hand and heart, a metaphor of love on this day. The symbolic look of love and caring. Lovely.

That Iowan chip is cute, I trust you weren't sentimental after the photo shoot, and consumed the heart...

the sculpture provides a lovely shadow on the canvus of white.

I love this poem of yours and how you capture the ways love is communicated.

Yes, I think the heart chip is a sign!
I'm with Sassy, now I'm craving chips.

Now I expect you to save that heart shaped chip. That could be something to hand down to family through the generations. Happy Valentine's Day!

That's a beautiful heart in hand piece of artwork.
And I love the poem..sassytrash is correct. The whisper, the touch and the glance are worth more than the gold and diamonds. We won't mention the chocolate. tee hee

How did you find a heart-shaped chip just in time for Valentine's Day? It must be a sign. ;-)

Cool chip packaging. Reminds me of the 50s.

Better than a chicken heart...or a cow heart...or the heart shaped ribeye they are advertising at the local restaurant. Happy VD Sharon.

That heart hand is great and makes a lovely shadow shot. Lovely poem too. The crisp is funny! A little golden heart waiting for you in that cheery yellow bag!

O dear Sharon, this post is a wonderful mix of serious romance and quirky humour! So loved every virtual moment of it!

I sense a Spring smile playing secretly in your eyes as if willing the magical warmth of the new season to trundle in just a little early! I am sure you will be there welcoming!

Already many of our trees are laden with yellowing leaves, and yet it is supposed to be late summer! (Right now, I am typing fast in case the ominous clouds outside decide to dump a violent storm!)

But I love it all! Each year the seasons seem to mix and match a little! All fascinating!

Hope you have enjoyed your weekend!

SUPER BIG WARM HUGS dear sister!

Lovely shadow shot - heart in hand rather than hand on heart.
So sorry to hear that your yellow Labrador was stolen - how absolutely heart-breaking.

Your beautiful shadow shot is just perfect for Valentine's Day! And a heart shaped chip? That's a sweet find. I gobble chips up so quickly that I'd never notice if they were unusually shaped. Hope you're having a great day! Or evening. I'm a little late catching up with lovely shadow folk this week. Have a good one!
