Let's play...

Wanting to give the Chateau an update, I started mixing paint colors...well, this clock was the first thing to receive it's makeover...LOVE IT!!!
Looks sorta Scandinavian doesn't it...?

Then we go for the big time...when doing big pieces like this, I just drag out the papers and a wet rag and just start slathering it on...

...then the fun part begins...putting back all the stuff that makes your heart beat...
your toys, the trinkets you just can't part with no matter what...

Close-up of the distressed finish.

...more playing...

...and more playing...
did I mention I LOVE my new dove grey look!!!

You took the plunge and got a lot done in a short time - amazing! I agree, putting it all back together is the most fun. Your smaller treasures really stand out now against the new background.

Sharon, I'm screaming wildly at how absolutely fabulous the chateau looks! Painting that armoire was a bold move and your new look is stunning! I'd love to see more! The color of the clock is amazing. Thanks for the great inspiration.

Look at YOU! That room is magazine worthy..the cabinet is to DIE FOR! We painted a piece in that gray last year and our tv sits on top..kind of ruins it, but oh well!
