Shadow Shot Sunday...I Wish...

I wish the sun was shining in my part of the world...
I miss you so...
but to see your shining face in pictures past
will bring a smile at last...

OMG...I'm sitting at the PC thinking of what the day will bring, cause it's snowing and we're wondering if we should open the shop...then it dawned on me...IT'S SSS...OMG...I haven't posted a picture, let alone my words of wisdom...ha...soooo, simple and sweet today, since I haven't a clue what day it is...

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas...and I promise I'll do better next week...that is if the sun ever comes out again...such is winter in the Nor'lunds...

So please check out Hey, Harriet for all of the friends gathered for our weekly shadow games...

I wish I could share some of our desert sunshine with you, but I see you did manage to find some exceptionally lovely shadows! Keep warm. :)

Does look snowy and cold! Terrific post! And I agree with Paula, fabulous for "off the cuff"! It's very sunny here, but also very cold! Hope you had a beautiful Christmas! Wishing you a Happy New Year! Look forward to more fun shadows and lovely words in the coming year!

Shadows are shadows, sunlight or artificial, shadows are all around us, and they often manifest themselves for a sunday. Like your snow, a perfect canvas for shadows. Happily you were able to to benefit from those pesky Hawkeye snows...

As in the photographs I take in this old farmhouse, often they are in shadow for the briefest of moments before it changes completely. Pretty great off the cuff shot! Our weather is equally frightful and I am sick of winter already. Only 4 more months to go! I may go mad by then....

NEVER fond of winter... and this year much more so.

Oh Sharon...
I think I know what you mean, about the Sun... But remember, it is always darkest, before the dawn... And Winter...well, a friend of mine said to me, the other day, " I hate Winter, everthing is dead, just dead..." My reply... "Not dead, resting"... We all work so hard, listen to Nature, even She, rests... And does it so Beautifully... There is a Season, for Everything... Bask in them... They go by quickly...
Merry Christmas, my dear one, and have the Most Wonderful New Year...
Love to you...

If this is a rushed job, then keep doing it. Lovely shot and lovely sentiments. Oh, and I adore your Scratchy shots from the earlier post.

If it's any consolation, it's been raining SERIOUS rain over the past week in Sunny Brisbane, but Christmas can't really be dampened and we managed to have a wonderful day.

I wish you a very happy 2010 which I hope will be filled with everything good.

Winter in our backyard is wonderful but brrr... just don't step out.

Love the subtle shot.

Missing to be joining our meme but this is the last, so I won't miss it.

I think you created a wonderful shadow shot on such short notice. And as for your words... don't worry there are always very special...
Have a happy New Year :)

I agree with Paula about it being a great shot for an 'off the cuff' photo! With it being so hot here, your snow looks very appealing to me! I'm in the same boat as you with regards to not knowing what day it is lately. I'm on holidays from work, so I'm getting my days muddles up too! Not that I'm complaining ;)

Hope you have a great week ahead and the sun shines your way for some of it at least!

Oh, it's simply a beautiful shot even if it was just on short notice. Love it.

Have a great week!

What a beautiful shot with the bench, shadows and snow. You seem to have so many wonderful spots on your property to discover.

Hopefully you don't know what day it is because you are relaxing and enjoying the winter holidays.

Lovely shadows on the snow..it rained last night and got into the 50s here in Connecticut today. The snow is mostly gone. I see the grass again!

Nice shot:D So sorry about the
sun:(

Knock on wood all the storms seem to be missing us thus far this year and we've had an unusual amount of sun. Strange and lucky bubble we're finding ourselves in. Here's wishing you some of the same luck.

I think you did pretty darn good for not knowing what day it is. (The holidays do that to me too!)
