Shadow Shot Sunday...Moon Shadow...

I give my light to the world,
I'm the man in the moon
and you are the dreamer...
you reach for the sky
yet walk the lonely path.
I'm not so far away
just o'er your brow
whisper me a prayer
oh lonely man,
I'm here in the miracle
of a summer's morn
and the wave
of the stormy seas.
I watch souls sing praise
down the paths
of their faith
longing to be more
and to live in the grace...
I am the God and
you are the God,
we are the sons
of peace
and the daughters
of love
and we live
in the shadow
of the man in the moon
and the miracle of a new born day
and of Peace on Earth
and of harmony
and of good will toward man...
all 'neath the face
and the smile
of the man in the moon.

Shadow Shooters are here again, as we celebrate Christmas time all over the world and we all pray for Peace on Earth...Merry Christmas brothers and sisters!!!

The man in the quarter-moon has a pointy chin and forehead, which are all balanced by a happy smile! He is happy not just by illuminating the night, but leaving a grand shadow as well. Merry Christmas to you in beautifully and wintry Iowa!

I can almost feel that snow crunching underfoot and loving the romance of it from a distance. In reality, you must have nearly frozen to death to get this image. Well done! I hope you have a happy and peaceful Christmas, and try to stay warm.

Ha! The first thing that sprung to mind looking at the shadow shot was that it was of a giant ear! Your poetry continues to blow me away each week. You seriously need to get that book published. Put it on your 'to do' list for next year. Thanks for your kind words and thanks so much for being a part of this shadowy thing. Your wonderful contributions each week means a lot to me. And to many others! Have a beautiful Christmas Sharon!

Love the touch of knowing smile from the man in the moon at the end of your poem! And love the shadow shape in your photo! Now I've got Cat Stevens humming round my mind!

Rather mild and somewhat rainy weather for the first week of school holidays so I've indulged in getting some articles written for Helium! 5 so far! More in the pipeline!

You sound as if you are spinning on a whirlwind trip! But loving it! Still enjoy your bubbly posts!

Wishing you a very happy and RELAXING Christmas!

SUPER HUGS dearest friend!

Cool shadow shot. And the moon always makes me dream. I noticed the other night how it was a thin crescent moon.

Warm wishes for the Holiday and New Year.

oh ... and I sure got a laugh from the "junk" photo on your right sidebar!
