Shadow Shot Sunday...the event...

Come one, come all,
the event is being staged...
we're having an Autumn open house at
Sister's Garden and Bloom

Yup, shadows abound on a beautiful
Autumn day, as we prepare for the open house
next weekend...

and games...
vintage FARM vehicles will be on display
as the stage is being set for our final hurrah
before the weather turns brutal...
ARGH!!!

Though winter will still bring us shadows
on cool, crisp days, we'll miss the greenery,
as it turns brown signalling the big sleep...
did I say ARGH!!!

I'm busy preparing my goods for sale,
my room upstairs at Sisters'
will be filled to the brim with farm style goods,
yummy soaps in sweet scented treats...

and gatherings found 'round about...

Autumn creates new landscapes
and we prepare...
as it is beautiful and
"it is what it is"...!
Hey, Harriet...how's Spring cumin'...

That old pickup looks just grand in front of the cornfield.

BITS OF SHADOW

Bits of shadow and blasts of light,
Morning and evening, noon and night;

Days of darkness, gloomy and drear;
Sometimes bright ones, bringing good cheer;

Spring or winter, summer or fall,
Light or shadow—embrace them all!

Wonderful shadows you found. I like the chicken shadows the best. They definitely say "farm" to me.
I too say Argh... to Fall and especially Winter coming on. I don't mind the cooler temps of Fall, I am actually ready for a break from the heat, but I hate seeing everything dying off. Plus, it means the end of garden fresh veggies. I am going to miss my garden tomatoes.
Hope the Open House goes well for you!

Surely you don't think this is the total end of the hot summer weather, do you? I say we'll be warm and sunny for many more days yet in September and october. Remember, you heard it here. (What have I got to lose? I've been wrong before)
Love the shadow shots!
Best of luck on the big sale.

Peace

Very nice details in your photos.

treasure or trash - there is neither here, but goods of solid construction that can be reused or repurposed. Farm chic exists not in style, but functionality. Built to last and not half-assed, the sale of implements and material is great, the value of the purchase long lasting...

Tempus fugit and now we "look forward" to winter.

Maybe it will be a mild one...

Cool shadows of the chickens. Did any of the real ones lose their heads this week? Just wonderin'

Good luck with the open house.

Your Autumn shadow worlds are so gorgeous! Still love your little glass house! It's like a little cottage in a fairy story!

Our Spring worlds are crisp with many flurries of rain! Blossoms struggle to hold their right to bloom! But the ivy keeps on greening on quite happily thank you!

Enjoying my part-time connection with school! I feel that I still have heaps of time to indulge in writing copious amounts of poetry. O what luxury! And sometimes I venture out for photos just as long as the weather keeps to about 2 seasons in one day rather than multiples!

At school I am not only extending/challenging students but I've been helping teachers too with internet challenges! It's been an interesting alternative to direct classroom teaching!

Now off to the physio! I visit there twice a week! But progress is good! That's what counts!

Biggest biggest hugs dearest sister! Enjoy the open house at Sister's! I'm sure you will!
