Friends forever...virtually...

I've already decided my New Years resolution...next year I'm going to visit some of the dear bloggers that are closest to my heart...you know when I think of the ones that are out of the country, like my dear sweet Gemma in Australia, it seems like such a faraway dream to visit her.

But what am I thinking, when there are so many that are just a hop and a skip right here in the states, just a state or two away...and what about the ones in Iowa/Illinois...duh!!! This year has just been one of finances and high gas prices, not to mention starting a new shop, but I promise I'll get there next year if it's the last thing I do.

This blogging phenomenon has made our world just a whole bunch smaller and our world of friends, unending! This post is dedicated to one, actually two of my dear, sweet friends, Robin and her Mum Tilda(Pat). I won a contest that Robin (One Still Frame) had posted on her blog, to win something precious and dear to her heart on the farm...well, this sweet sampler says it all!

Robin creates the most wonderful scenes of her beloved farm land and state of Michigan in her photos and words of inspiration...I have coffee with her and Tilda every morning, her Mum lives across the road in the family homestead and used to have the most wonderful antique shop, now closed due to the economy, but still has the best web site of ol'timey primitives,
High Button Shoe. We met on our host web site 'Crow Soup'...back in the day...

These are bonds that are strong, sisterhoods that will last till the end of our days...and I am proud to call them friends...and SISTERS!

Thanks for the coffee lil' Sis...

We are a wonderful band of wild women to be sure! And while you're out gallivanting 'round the country (world??) you MUST come see me. Love the stitched piece - and it says it all, doesn't it? Have a wonderful day my Sister-friend :-)

OK, you can put me on the list too. I know we would have the best time.

Hey Sharon, funny you should mention it, I've been getting a little obsessed with the shorter days and the foliage declining in my garden. I'm determined not to go into complete panic mode until Sept but still--this niggling little feeling of impending horror persists;) What happened this year. Was I in a comma or did summer only last a couple weeks? Do we need therapy? Is winter really that horrifying?

Now don't forget to add Texas to your list of places to visit. Just jump on TOT's ride and let the wind bring you our way :)

it amazes me often, that such great relationships are formed in places we commonly would not think of them. i think what blogs do and websites, are to open our souls to one another. i am thankful to be your friend and am committed to your blog as a daily passtime. the robins left on Monday. i have searched the yards for them for 2 days. i am saddened as their departure heralds the end of summer. why must they leave me in only mid August? we have only had summer for 2 weeks! i am so NOT ready for fall. but then i never am. BUT i am still barefoot...
in fondest. Tilda

I always blogs are just words and pictures until we connect with the person behind it, then it becomes a super blog. I am sure you will have a blast visiting blog friends :P
