Our stairway to Heaven...

Our lil' narrow stairwell leads us to effigies and the bedroom upstairs. It's very narrow, so we have to be cautious as to what we put up there or we'll get stuck trying to move butts and furniture up the narrow opening...

...a birdbath, a bed frame and bachelor buttons...a perfect scenario for cottage living...

...a bright white bench sits awaiting a visitor on the path to the gardens...a bucket for trash from passersby perhaps or maybe a stray weed or two...

...the greens of summer beckon you to sit and rest on your long journey to fulfilment...

...to die for white, chippy lawn chairs...sorry, not for sale, but ready for you to try on and take a break in...

...we're going home...it was another long hot summer day in Palo...a lil' shop called 'White', awaits your discovery...Wednesday and Saturday...12-5ish...got lots to show ya...welcome friends!

oh that green bench is to die for!!! I have a similar one up in the rafters of the barn. Just haven't been able to convince hubby that it would look good in the yard! He seems to roll his eyes at me alot....

Your yard looks great. Can't wait to see it in the fall. If I were you, I'd only put miniatures up those steps. Jan

The white bench is my absolute favorite! I'd love to see it all. I agree with Jan, fall leaves covering everything will be a gorgeous picture!

Did you hear my scream all the way from California? That green bench, the white one, the pair of chairs...
ENOUGH already! We don't find those cool things out here. :(

i sometimes think that we have to deeply absorb all the whites, the pale greens, the vibrant greens, the birdbaths, benches and lush live flowers and bushes into our souls, because winter is not far off, even tho it be only mid August. fall is fleeting and the only whites we will see are mounds upon mounds of snow. winter is MUCH longer than the show of summer, so we must bask in your beautiful white and pale greens whilst we can. thanks for sharing.

Sharon, do you go to Round Top? What about Missouri or Kansas? Fine pickens for your store.

O what atmosphere in your little piece of Iowa! That stairway is waiting for a story or maybe a poem?
