Shadow Shot Sunday...Easy Rider...

I am
only limited
by the will
of my strengths,
my youth's
fleeting
halting
passions
ruled
by pain
and fear
of the fall,
will these bones
give range
today...
we are
fast friends
I know,
you set
me free...
dreams
of a life
moving on
to sunset...
we were
fast friends
you know,
shall I
survive you
or you
I

The shadows of time are upon us again, check out Hey, Harriet for the illusive shadow shooters
and remember...never let the wind cease to guild your path, as my 81 year old Dad, the eternal 'easy rider' plots his next course...into the sunset...love you POPS!

Happy SSS everyone!

Beautiful words as life keeps passing faster and faster. Your dad, the man with the eternal smile, is quite the gem. That BMW is his youth. I see he rode down to your place again... way to go pops!!!

Good for your Dad!!! It's apparent where you got your "free spirit". We (& I'm certainly including myself) waste so much time worrying about what could happen instead of enjoying the moment. Have a good weekend! Jan

Roll on Dad!!! I hope I am still riding at 81! I am so grateful to have my Mom in my life still, and at 81 she runs her bookstore, and is so smart and funny. Thanks for your awesome SSS words, and encouraging comments--(you pulled me out of my "go get a real job and quit playing with junk" mood)I always get inspired when I see your blog, and read your words.

Beautiful poem. The photo of your father is fantastic and inspiring! You certainly are caring on the tradition as well.

The soaps in the post below are such a beautiful color. Also, first time for me to see a vole.

Enjoy your weekend.

Wonderful! He's passed a lot of his spirit on in you Sharon!
When we were in high school our grandparents took a motercycle all around with a little pop-up tent following it - we thought it was a hoot that these "old" people wanted to ride all over the country....amazing how you see it with different eyes when you're older!!

Your dad looks so at peace with his lifestyle! That is a happy glow there! He is certainly a free spirit keeping his joy of riding a high priority! Age is no deterrent or excuse! And what is age except a number!

And your poem is a great tribute to his spirit! I hear a very close alignment of "the stars" ~ yours and his! I have a feeling you are always with him in his travels!

O ~ And love the gentle shadow of the bike! It seems to symbolise a sense of ongoing reality beyond the visual!

Happy weekend dear sister! Don't work too hard!

Love your SSS photo. Can I introduce your Dad to my mother. He might actually be able to keep up with her.

I answered your question on my SSS post in my comments. Had to use the hubbies PC as mine was in download mode. Though you might not understand seeing Frank as the responder.

Thanks for the visit and appreciate your taking the time to comment.

Marvellous! Age is just a number after all and the more we do the younger we feel. (well on my way to infancy here . . . )

Wow! Your dad is still riding at 81. I guess I still have 17 years to fulfill my dream of motocycling across the country.

Pops! You are a STAR! Would sure love to sit a spell with him. I bet he has some great stories to tell...haha. I hope I can get around like that if I live to be 81. :) well..maybe not on a motorcycle, but you know what I mean!
