Shadow Shot Sunday...does it creep...

sun, oh glorious sun
Autumn, oh glorious Autumn
life, oh glorious life
it is the little things
that make me smile
the shadow of a fan guard
creeping along like a
Halloweenie spider
this is what I call
having the time to notice and
rebuild lost
youth and stuff
no hurry
no worry
what was the rush anyway
it just hurts
a little more
here and there
after all
it is what it is
but alas
it never hurts
to smile ;)

Hello my friends from near and far, it's that time again,
we've all gone to Harriet's house down under
where it's Sunday already, whew, where does the time fly?!

The old fan guard in the photo has been turned into a basket of sorts, revived into something useful and kinda cute, it tripped my trigger anyway and took a rather cool shadow shot too,
but then again, it doesn't take much for me...

We are having summer again here in Iowa, upper 80's again today...
and sun oh glorious sun,how long will it last...
how's the Spring coming in Australia kids...YIPPEE!

The wire form as art - it was a device that did not protect fingers well when on the fan. So by itself it has an exquisite shape, with shadows as well. It works as fine art!

Love the photo. You captured a great shadow and your words and choice of music playing in the background make for an enjoyable visit to your post.
Thanks for sharing!!

Great capture, Sharon! Ralph is right, that wouldn't have stopped many poking fingers from the whirring blades!

Off topic, I've been admiring your embroidery for some time. If you want to see some of mine, over at my daughter's blog, she's using some of mine in a tutorial. (That's the two of us in her little avatar photo, working on our Christmas goods) - her site is - I know you're busy as all get out, but give it a look if you get a chance.

'what was the rush anyway' - that's what I ask myself...
I'm still in Helsinki - back to Casa on Monday...
Have a relaxing Sunday!

The fan guard is very spidery! A very clever find!

And Spring is creeping slowly out in my world, one dribble of sunlight at a time! It doesn't really get close to warm till after midday!

But still I love the tones and moods here! As long as I can get out with my camera, I'm happy!

Just finished marking lots of senior trial exams! I have to pace myself to get a certain number completed per day! Now I have to mark Year 10 assessment tasks, but that won't be quite so exhausting! However that doesn't begin till Monday! Today I will be out and about with my camera!

Loving how all your projects are evolving for you! Love checking on your latest venture!

Happiness always dearest sister! Super hugs!

Great shadow and words! Summer is hiding away somewhere behind clouds and cold winds today in Perth! I hope your warm weather lasts a little longer.

Amazing, the thought of that shadow being a spider really gave me the creeps, I am afraid of spiders and that shadow is very much like one....well done, great shot :-)

fabulous shadow and what a great idea for the fan guard.

Great shot! It looked like an old fan guard when I first saw it, glad you verified that for me.
I learned a good lesson here today. Your reminder that there is no hurry in all of it. Maybe as I age I feel that I better get things done quickly as who knows, I'm getting closer to the end of life's diving board.
You are right. What's the rush. Savor the moments for sure!
Sorry I haven't been around much. Been busy and also enjoying the same weather as you, that means hours and miles onn the Motorcycle while it lasts.
