Shadow Shot...It's coming...

Boy, us Northuners relish any bit of sun we can harvest...
you immediately notice a shadow glaring at you
the moment you walk into a room...
am I not right friends in the Nor'lunds!!!
Our snow is almost totally gone, it would seem the frost is out,
way too early, however, we won't delude ourselves...
ol' man Winter is still very much with us!

BUT...

We can still dream, as it's ever so near...SPRING!!!

And for our dear friends down under...
summer is ebbing, sorry guys, it's our turn!
But like I said, we still have lots of Winter to deal with, so...
let's enjoy summer at Harriet's place,
she's fun and so are all of her shadow buddies!
Please check her out!

I am glad that the magnifying glass didn't burn a hole into the newspaper...

Winter will not last I have concluded (although it never felt like it would end last month :)

The look outside minus snow fells warmer, we can envision Spring will be a s fresh and new as always, and we can savor the warmer outdoors and not hurry to get inside. Thanks for the reminder!

We had some snow this morning, but it has turned wet this afternoon. I could do with a loan of your magnifying glass to look for better weather!

Love how that amber falls across the page! Yes...not much snow left here...it was a glorious week of melting and a bit of warmness...now back to winter - but it WAS nice! Thanks for that shot of spring....ahhhhhhh!

Lovely ShadowShot. Spring is just around the corner...seems that the seasons are traveling at warp speed as I get older. Right now the Phoenix weather can't decide what it wants to do. Cooler (Yes!) and very windy (No!). It promises a little rain to (Yes!). Gotta go do some laundry now (No!). Have a good weekend!

A gorgeous, bubbly post! Love the gentle gold shadow of the magnifying glass! Beautiful!

I managed to get out on Saturday in some fragments of sunshine! Hubby and I went to the Western Port Festival on the east side of the Mornington Peninsula! We watched the street parade celebrating Hastings' 150 years on the Peninsula. (The festival is held at Hastings!)

I so loved it all! For the first time in years I saw a community parade! It was not just all about bright colours and looking pretty! All the elements/people/groups that drove the life of the community were represented! Even all the schools were represented!
The parade was not just about looking back at memories but loking forward also!

It closed with Chinese dancing in dragon costume and lots of bang bang fireworks as they drummed and danced! Awesome stuff!

It's a stroppy windy day today with dribbles of sunlight, but I feel I can settle to some schoolwork that needs to be done after being refreshed yesterday!

Hope you have a great weekend dear sister! SUPER HUGS from the crazy world of Oz!

What a great shot, nice bit of sunshine to create a lovely shadow.

And yes, Spring will be with you very soon, already the days here have a slight Autumnal feel.

Your magnifying glass is gorgeous, but I simply adore the irises. Yes, summer is ebbing down here, but our winter won't be anywhere near as severe as you experience. I enjoy reading about your anticipation of Spring.

Ooops! I just gave myslef a fright by scrolling down to your cracked baby head! They're cool but oh-so-creepy!

Hooray that summer is just around the corner for you now. Things should start to cool off here soon. No sign of it happening yet though!

Love your magnifying glass photo! Enjoy the rest of your weekend Sharon :)

Great shot! I think you have Spring on your mind sister. It's only Februrary, but these past few years, anything can happen. It's snowing in Arizona today! (But not here in New Mexico, it's still sunny, warm and windy)

Peace.

WOW, that magnifying glass is divine! and a beautiful, mystical shadow too. I love this. we are in the midst of another winter storm but I'm hoping that the lake will keep us in rain for the better part of it. trouble is, overnight the NE winds are forecast to kick up - that means lake effect snows! I'm hanging in there - Spring is on its way. love your irises Sharon! have a beautiful week :)

That shot of your porch with the iris and hosta ? is FABULOUS : ) I could look at that scene for ages .. I so wish we have a quick Spring coming but lasting too .. we jump into summer way too fast ..
