Shadow Shot Sunday...Hello Dot...

Where has our summer gone
I still lament
my lil' dotted friend
you ram'bling tenant of the bush
bits of green still remind
of what will come
vacant lives now
rest and rest
soon pink sunrise
will reflect longing
no regrets in a winter's wail
searching
hoping
loving
hints of blue rays
rendezvous with new days
where have we been
so long
on these worn worn paths
simply waiting
simply waiting

Can you believe it's Sunday again in Australia...we're all over at Hey, Harriet's Place...come on over for a spell...

very little if any green here...snow has moved into town...tho today's sun will lend it's hand in taking it away...one by one the crystals become a drop of water. winter does have it's beauty...but i will, as you, be waiting...

At least the seasonal changes give a fine shadow on the birdhouse. I believe the feathered tenants will be back in the spring. With shadows under the warm sky!

Great shot. I, too, gaze at the bird box, waiting for the day when a new family will take up residence.

I suspect your little feathered friends have arrived in Brisbane. They sing outside our bedroom window at 4.00am, bless them. They are obviously pining for their lovely birdhouse, so maybe you could send it along so that we can get some sleep-in time!

O my dear friend,
It was so good to read your comment on my Shadow Shot post! Missed my blogging so much last week and especially missed wandering in your world for a little while!

Your photo here is so sweet! It is like a tiny treasure box of precious memories! Great angle! Like a glimpse of other times! And love the wistful yearning in your delightful poem!

Like you, life is a struggle! Our rent has just increased as of December! That was quite a shock! But I'm seeking new ways to supplement the income! (One is Helium! I intend writing a bunch of articles over the holidays for the website!)But I never lose sight of those priceless small things. That is one of the reasons I posted the beauty of the feather shadow today! Just to keep me on track!

As always, BIGGEST HUGS! I am so thankful to have you as a friend!

Great shadow shot--lady bug and all!! I'm glad winter is pretty short here in Georgia...about the time you get tired of it, the daffodils pop up!

Very nice shadows on that cozy home, they will be back before you know it. :)

beautiful shadows & birdhouse scene, just lovely. Your poetry is like the icing on the cake.
I do miss Summer though there is something about this time of year that is just grand.

That is one of the coolest little birdhouses I've ever seen. Your feathered friends will be back before too long. As Hot Fudge said, they've migrated to Oz for a spell & I promise we'll take good care of them :)

Lovely photo, and perfect text. We've reached that "waiting" part of the year here, too.

This is wonderfully composed! I like the angle that it's shot at. And the shadow of the seed-pod-on-a-stalk thingie makes one look a long time and wonder if there's a second port hole on that bird house.

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Nice shadows. Lovely words. I wish I could call Dot my friend, but those little Lady Bug want-a-be's infest my house at this time of year;D

Love your creative shot! It isn't quite winter yet, and I'm wanting to spring to be here with all its birds. Happy new week!

I wish I could send some of our birds your way. Their songs waking our kids at a horrid hour in the morning.

Your little bird house is adorable. I think that sweet lady beetle would agree. I had to zoom in on your photo to see it. At first I thought it was one of the gumnut babies, snugglepot or cuddlepie. I wouldn't be surprised to see such fantasiful creatures at your enchanting place.
