An outing for Scratchy...

For those of you that didn't know, Scratchy had knee surgery last Friday...OMG...I was alone for a whole day...I had the entire bed to myself...I kept hearing her walk into the room, I wanted to let her outside, I wanted to feed her on schedule...
BUT...
she wasn't here...!!!
You know they say when you have an amputation, you still feel the body part, like it never left...

That's how I felt...
WHERE'S SCRATCHY!!!

OK...I may be obsessing, but it sure is good to hav'er back.
She's doing great, though still walking on 3 legs, she's climbing steps and getting fed out of her chair...OK, she's a tad spoiled...
but she's my bud and you do what you do...
when you're not the alpha female!!!

Sooooo...
we went shopping and got some great stuff...
I put the word out for paned windows and doors,
I have this vision of my Rabbit Hole
and a dream of a shack in my yard made entirely out of recycled materials,
how fun would that be...
old windows and furniture and barn boards.
I want my own singing conservatory
where the wind blows through the cracks
and the knotholes and sings the song of the sirens
an ode to
where there's a will there's a way...

HEY...what a great name for the shack(solarium)...

So glad that Scratchy is recovering from her surgery...I wish I didn't understand the whole missing limb, but I do, and I know you feel much better now that she's home. Love your idea for "theresawill theresaway"...I have a pile of windows & 1 very cool old door that were the beginning bones for a garden shed...sadly, I have lost my carpenter...and do not have much faith in my ability to construct something that will continue to stand. Carpentry classes, any one?? Have a great week. *elaine*

Hey Sharon...
Don't know what I'd do without my "Polly Anna"... Oh my... I am so glad Scratchy is home...
I get calls on windows, often... let me know what size, shape, panes, all the specs!
I am soo glad you are jumpin in! If you build one, they will come...Especially in February, when it's 10 outside, it's 65, or better, under the glass!
See Ya Soon!
{can't wait for the soap!}

Hope Scratchy is back to chasing squirrels real soon. I have loved all your recent posts, just so busy with the show to visit....I enjoyed the shop photos so much--what a wonderland of architectural! And your picker saga shadow shot, and how cool an idea to build a secret escape solarium place--can't wait! Great haul of treasure, too! Looks like I might get to KY this week, then heading to FL next week, so I hope I can find some good pickins!

I'm so glad that Scratchy is better and at home. I miss my babies so much whenever they're gone or I am...and for whatever reason. Right now I'm dealing with a geriatric chihuahua. Not fun. My cairn, Sophie, is not always the sweetest to him...she is quite bossy, in fact, I call her my cairn terror... Kisses for Scratchy

Poor Scratchy. Hope she feels better real soon. Looks like you got some great stuff. I got some great free things after the swap meets this weekend when people were mad and throwing stuff they didn't sale in the trash. I know some people would think that was gross to dig through the piles of stuff but I love to look in them as long as they are not too filthy dirty to see what goodies I can find.

Glad Scratchy got through all that. She looks pretty good considering the trauma. I bet she missed you more than you missed her. Now just to heal... I can see that crown on her highness's head, barking her lil desires... miss you, hope to see you both soon.
