What was going on in the minds of the Victorians back in the day, that they filled their homes with these wonderful old prints.

Romance obviously...the dreams of the perfect relationship and fairytale lifestyle...

...and the toil of the day(every day) was a walk in paradise, blossom filled paths lead to a darling cottage in the valley...

...and every home had this special portrait of a special deity...though I'm not quite buying the blue eyes...it was necessary to have to confirm your devotion...
But they all make my lil' pink shack feel cozy and warm...you know, like granny just moved out...

I love what's going on in the background of the romance picture...
look at the two men and the woman!
Jesus looks a bit perplexed, which I think is fitting.
What absolutely amazing finds!
Those are beautiful!
Fabulous collection of chromolithos, Sharon. My favorite is the lady in the boat - splendid!
Wishing you all the best in your new store. You and your daughter are a great team!
I love ya sister! The chateau is filled to the brim with beauty. That includes the occupant. Have fun filling the new shop. Blow there socks off. Good luck. I'll be down when your settled.
Beautiful tone of ancient mystery in these images! But like you, I absolutely adore the one of the little girl and the cat. Something about their communication is very touching!
Those are lovely. And I think I have a jpg image of the couple walking together and noted the painter, though the name escapes me now.
