Shadow Shot Sunday...Seal the Kiss...

There were no shadows on my porch last night
only storm clouds fading
billowing knuckles shading each others
tempest boiling to the North...
a lone robin sings retreat
into the inflamed universe surrounding me
one last volley sealing the scarlet kiss
as night descends...
winds cease all but a whisper
a single chime haunts from afar
as a star appears
all will soon be moon shadow...
close your mind
feel the trees sway
be quick
or all will be lost to the daylight...
catch the dance of the dark
endless hustle under the moon
forget all things human
be one with the scent of the night
cool silent harmony of life
do you see it
or is your mind closed
and weak
diminishing all that is real
in the world of a night
without shadow

only a faint sigh and

I hear it

Did you find shadows after the storm...or is it still storming...do you love the surprises of Spring?! Let's see how Autumn is doing down under and the rest of the shooters are faring...go here!!!

Then I am off to begin the moving of a shop of ten years, my daughters first move, since moving the original Candle Shed, oh so many years ago.
Many have given positive well wishes and we are ready for the change, both in the candle part,
as well as the soaps and junk biz...
no great deal for this picker, it's all about the biz...
if you don't come, we move on.
A community needs support from the city and it's peeps,
but if they fail, you move on.

I'll post pics as we progress...this is going to be GRAND!!!
...and the sky is blue...

Good Luck with that move! I did it once and my back said that was enough for a long time! Keep the pain pills handy! Wanda

Great shot and words for the day as always, some really ominous looking clouds and shadows indeed! Hope your move goes well -- never fun, but usually worth it once it's over and the back has stopped aching. I'm holding good thoughts for you!

The clouds leave a threatening air above us, the gray shadowy sky. Yet, beyond the dark is the brilliance of the sun just beyond. So to fully appreciate the brightness, we need that dark period just before. Great capture!

Although there were no shadows to shoot your photo is beautiful! Sounds like you have a lot of work ahead of you. Good luck with the move; can't wait to see photos!

Beautiful idea to capture "cloud shadows"! And your poem is so melodic and dramatic! It is so easy to sink into its magical atmosphere!

Sending you heaps of hugs for your new venture! You still sound so excited! Passion for what you do is the key to impassioned success!

Cloudy days happening here too with the bite of Autumn winds. Sun glimmers through warily but is often snuffed! However, these are perfect conditions for the weird and wonderful sky shots! I'm not complaining at all!

Recovering from a busy week of late night parent-teacher interviews. But all was positive and the parents were most supportive!

Still trying to encourage students to write regularly for my other school blog, Teen Waves. But when they do write, wow do they produce some awesome stuff! It's worth the hassle of annoying them! Strange how boys in particular just don't produce quality written work in class, but give them the freedom of their own blog linked to Teen Waves and the results are incredible! Now I'm trying to work out ways of advancing this further!

Another week of busy-ness and for sanity I update my blog regularly! But it's all a part of the game of living and the need for a sense of personal achievement!

Have a wonderful week dearest friend! Pace yourself! SUPER HUGS!

Those clouds look so low! Like you could almost walk around with your head in them. Which is something I often do ;)

All the best with the big move! Lots of hard work ahead but I'm sure it will all be well worth it and the business will thrive!
