Shadow Shot Sunday...JAWS........

Dah dah...dah dah...dah dah...dah dah...dah dah...dah da...dah dah............

Ok, for those of you that had no clue, that was the music from JAWS,
everybody remembers that score...right...

Anyway, the jaws of my garden were spied taking a break on my porch yesterday...
be afraid, for much labor and toil lies ahead of these tines...
I really need to paint my porch floor(in reality)
BUT,(why be real)
I love the patina it gives my photos, that time forgotten kinda look...
right!

Anyway, y'all head on under to Australia where we're playing at Tracie's house again...
hey, we know how to have fun!

Align CenterBaby cucumber plants in shadowland...

...and a shameless plug for my soap...
Coldwater Cucumber
...ahhh, refreshing...
Y'all have a safe and summery holiday weekend
and
never forget!!!

Peace...

Hi Sharon,

Have you ever considered staining your porch deck instead of paint? There are some semi-opaque colors available now that work like a charm. I did a ceiling about 10 years back and it's still looking good and hasn't ever needed any touch ups. I'm sure you could find an awesome color to go with the Pink Chateau - a French blue maybe, or a mossy green. They may even have a gray or white...

Wow those jaws look a little menacing but beautifully rhythmic at the same time! Great shadow shot. Enjoy your long weekend.

I love the rake shot . . . and the floor looks great just as it is :-)
(In UK we are remembering the evacuation of Dunkirk 70 years ago - we must never forget!)

That first shot is an absolute gem!! love the contrast of the metal jaws and the weathered boards below...

The jaws of life you might say. A rake can be destructive (to weeds) or constructive (allowing the aeration of soil for good growth). The falg is wonderful, as you say 'never forget"!

I love the first photo - and your soap looks lovely! We are commemorating 70 years since Dunkirk this weekend (our Remembrance Sunday is in November)
Enjoy the holiday weekend - of course it is raining here for ours!!

Please don't be offended by this but the American flag in your final picture in honor of Memorial Day needs to be respectfully retired. One of my biggest pet peeves is shabby American Flags. It is not an honor to display a tattered, faded, fraying, etc. flag. It is the symbol of all we hold dear in this country and needs to be as pristine as possible. Your local chapter of the VFW or DAV usually has a ceremony at least a couple times a year to retire worn flags with honor. Have a wonderful Memorial Day.

A heart shadow of a rake - did you notice?! How cool is that!

For me the flag picture is artistic...I like it!
Have a great weekend,
greetings from Casa!

Ah yes, the garden beckons. Summer veggies need to go in the ground, spring flowers need deadheading. It is still cool enough here to enjoy being in the garden. Paint the deck, I agree the weathered look is nice as long as it doesn’t weather so much it falls down ;>)

Love the jaws of your rake in shadow on the weathered floorboards (could be my verandah!) Very effective!
And your soap is a miracle of sensual beauty! Heavenly!

You sound a little less breathless this week! Maybe the fruits of your labours are beginning to find strength in themselves! But I still sense that your brain is ticking on "what else"!

I am still not seeing the end just yet for report writing, but it has to be all done for Wednesday! Five classes seem an awful lot at this time! But I've always managed by some miracle!

At least the weather today is grim, so not too inviting for venturing outside! I think Nature has a hidden agenda to put pressure on me!

Great to see all those treasures in your posts and a mention of your little grey kitten! Still wandering in?

SUPER HUGS dearest friend and soul sister! Enjoy your week!

What a creative post. Love the "jaws" formed from your rake shadow.

Porch painting is on my agenda this year too, though if it were as nice a texture as yours, I'd be tempted to seal it and leave it as is.

Wow! You out did yourself yet again! What a beautiful post all the way around. The first shot reminded my of a series of children's books called "I Spy". have you seen them?

I like the rake photo! I've been away, that's why I am lagging behind on the Sahdow Shots this week. Hope all is good with you.
