Bold old soul
rock of ages
steady of hand
wisdom of sages
I stand in your shadow
As we again head on down under to Australia
to
HarrietvilleTracy has asked us to play in her yard...
won't you!

One, two, three, four
they're out the door...

We had a fabulous first day at Sister's open house!
People were filing in all day,
hopefully today will be even better,
even as thunderstorms pass through
we are hopeful
of crowds...
Ya can't stop us now!!!

Ah, to be wise as this old rock! What a great capture for the day and lovely words as always! Terrific! Hope you have a beautiful weekend!

The rock is hefty and heavy. Impressive id doesn't seem so low down (unless you stub your toe on it). Therefore, the light allows the rock to appear bigger and better - if in shadow alone...
Beautiful photograph and poetry. I probably would add this rock to my collection. I guess it'd have to be the start of my outdoor rock collection. Tee Hee!
Hope the storms stay away too for your weekend sale.
Nice one Sharon, love the header :) Happy sunday...
Excellent shadow shot - and as always I enjoyed your words!
I am a rock!!! Lovely poem. Thanks, and congrats on the sales!
Great shot!

Aha! This rock is even smaller than the puny Plymouth Rock. Glad the open house is going well. Rain, rain go away....
What a shadow that rock casts! Great poetry as well!
Your photo and poem are beautiful and evocative. Love the textures.
All of your choices, in your photos and your store merchandise, are so astute. They speak of a sensitive soul.

have a great week...keep on creating and junking!!
I am an island (insert Simon and Garfunkel melody here)! Remiss that I cannot do time travel and be there for that Sisters sale and missing out on a thunderstorm. We got short changed here this summer.
Love the mystery of rocks! They are the sphinx of sages! Beautiful photo! And congrats on the Sisters' open day!
I don't expect you wish to hear yet another week of rainy day stories! My Shadow Shot this week represents a wink of sunlight outside my door before more tears from the sky! Ahhhhh but we need all the water storage we can before the heat of summer, so all is good!
School holidays now, but need to go into school for Year 12 exam supervision and then need to mark the exams before returning! But that's OK! I'll make sure I get out with the camera before then!
Love all the entries re your new project! It's incredible!
Happiness always dear sister! BIG HUGS!
Love the words that accompany your rock and shadow.
What a great shadow and your words are just lovely.
Great to hear that you have had a good opening. Long may it continue.
Very simple, cool!
I do like your poem but could not raise a single picture, I've tried three times now and absolute zilch.
Rocks have so much wisdom and it hurts my soul to see whole mountains ground down for road metal or their riches in minerals. The Earth, our mother, is getting angry at her selfish and greedy children and sending us ever greater disasters. People have distanced themselves from nature to such a degree that they do not even realise the destruction they cause.
Sorry about the rant, it is just something that sprang from the invisible rock.
I love that little poem accompanying the shadow rock shot!
That's great to hear of sales and good turnouts! Those chairs are so cool!
Hope you have a super week ahead Sharon :)
I always love the Grandfather and Grandmother rocks, the oldest of all souls, where all the wisdom comes from. Wonderful Shadow Shot.
Good to hear your place is started off on a good note.
Peace.
Rock, rock, rock - you rock! :)
I know you'd love BBC document How Earth Made Us...
