Shadow Shot Sunday...Ahhhh...

There you are
my old silent friend...
I feel this newness about me...
a new cloak of being,
of happiness again fulfilled,
color bursting,
fragrant,
nourishing...
as plum blossoms
open passage
to my Springtime holiday,
this yellow tuxedoed doorman
welcomes each guest
with a hummmm
and the buzzzzz,
welcome traveler...
all 'round this place
is a stirring
a newness,
in every shadow a season of birth.
Bring on the beauteous
nature of things
in my world of red buds
and purple mists...
grow grasses grow...
I relish your flourish and
the sweet scent of your seed...
'Tis Spring at the chateau of my heart,
the chorals are being sung
as I welcome and breathe in
each new day
each new hour
each moment,
as all stirs anew...
Spring
you are among the living...
oh glorious sun you are king for a day...
ahhhhh
welcome to my all...

Yup, you guessed it Shadow Shot Sunday is upon up...go there, take a moment...you'll like what you see...it's Sunday down under...Australia!

Beautiful ode to Spring and her treasures and visitors. The flower looks so accepting of the bee. Great shot.

Really cute pics below of the dogs you groomed. I hope the mask keeps your lungs clean. I can also see how grooming dogs would be hard on your back. Those faces are definitely a reward though.

Your photo is wonderful, sweet repose! The flower looks similar to my ornamental pear in my front yard. BTW, I can't believe the stats you quote on Palin and cohorts up in alaska... oh god!

What a joy it must be to see trees blossoming back to life. Having lived in Canada for a time before I was married, that is one of my most cherished memories of the changing seasons. Oh, and I love the little bumble bee.

Your poem is like sinking into a luxurious bubble bath, easing aching mind and limbs! Beautiful feeling.

And love that photo of just one bee "communicating" with the white magic of the flower! O so beautiful!

I love the bee- it was worth the "Ring a Round the Rosie" dance.
The poem is just yummy. Your poems are such marvelous invocations!

What a wonderful picture Sharon! We are still waiting for the trees to show us their flowers! We have had some people, however, mowing....ahhhhh what a sweet scent - just like you said!
Loved your "ode to spring" - fits the week perfectly!

It looks like spring is finally here! Love to see the bees, especially after all the bad news about them. What would the world do without them?

still waiting on the blossoms...last year was not a good year for them...non-existent...gray, cold today...needed a fire in the woodstove to warm the house.

love the picture...what a happy bee!!
