What is art...at Sister's Garden

Art is as one sees it...right...taking a wonderful old piece and changing it ever so slightly with a light coat of black paint and one coat of poly...making this primitive piece just a step closer to upscale for those not so inclined to primitive living. The black also pulls the detail from the hidden recesses of each corner.

A painted sofa table, once a shabby shade of red, but not quite making sense, is now black, with bits of red peeking through it's glass top crown...

A close up of the medallion and it's floral motif...

What a wonderful bedroom set, looking very spring-like with it's floral bouquet embellishing the front of the headboard and chest...and what a wonderful shade of green, befitting any bedroom with old cottage style.

An artists rendition of an old world craftsmanship that evokes the works of the masters on simple everyday pieces of furniture. The green of these pieces is a very cottage-like style that just warms my heart and makes the soul rest in harmony in the bedrooms of dream land.
Time to relax...right...
