Shadow Shot Sunday...Pussywillow Dreamin'...

The sun beckoned
get up lazybones
red bicycle awaits
the wanderer's path
off country roads
Tomboy pedd'ling
wind in hair
stream side
meadow's of flowering fields
past the galloping ponies
weeeeee
quiet caution
abandoned fear
no need to worry back in the 50's
I wander reckless alone
I run amok
apron strings cast
what's this wee murmur
cast on a breeze
a kitten
oh what a glorious find
treasure forms visions of wealth
can I keep it Mom
take it back where you found it
paradise lost
pussywillows
my makeshift com padre

some day

s.wilson

I begged and begged for a kitten, back in the day...I had a squirrel, a rabbit, a hamster, a parakeet, turtles, snakes and puppies...but never a kitten...
what is it about little girls and kittens?
You sisters know what I'm talkin' about...
I STILL DON"T HAVE ONE...
terrier...nuff said!

Anyway, meanwhile back in Australia, we love shadows...check us out...

we had kittens a plenty here on the farm where i grew up...however, many a kitten met a sad ending when inside the front end of the car when it started...sorry...not a pretty thought for this morning.
Ok-focus...lovely poem- shots of pussywillows-lovely also.

i hope that the project that kept you up last night does not seem so great this morning...and if it does...one step at a time. breath. nothing is so great that it should fill your time with worry and anxiousness.

here's hoping you have a sun soaked day my friend...with gentle summer breezes.

I would have loved the sun to beckon me from my bed this week, instead of wind and rain!!

Wonderful reflections as always and words to match! I haven't had a cat in some time, have to admit I miss them. Love the pussywillows! Have a wonderful, sunny weekend!

Beautiful shadow shot and your poem took me on a journey of words.

You mentioned kitties and terriers. I am a cat and dog person, so i can easily understand how you'd want both. Your terrier is adorable and probably enjoys your undivided attention:)

We remeber those days! We would often have strays show up around our home so it was hard for the parents to say no when you were holding the kitten;0)
Okay... how do you keep a squirel as a pet?? that had to be interesting!

Beautiful shadow..so enjoy Pussywillow..we use to root them in the water..We were not allowed a kitten either..just a dog. Well, when CaraRose was small, we found a kitten in the barn and what fun we had with him..We called him Squeaky..because of his squeaks, that is how we found him in the barn..
Have a Happy SSS..

I relate! As a youngster, I wanted a kitten and had a white bunny rabbit and a galah!

Beautiful photos! Love the shadows on that hessian! There is a feeling of back to the beauty of basics! Very enchanting!

Talking of "back to" something...I am back to school tomorrow! no more indulgence in writing and photography! But it was so much fun while it lasted, in spite of the crazy weather!

Talking of "crazy weather" ...It's cold windy and wet, (again!) but blossoms are appearing on one of my trees! Almost willing Spring to toddle in!

And now I am thinking of braving the weather outside and seeking a little wine for comfort (just a little!) before the tensions of being back to school for another term invade! Aaaah!

Sending you SUPER HUGS dear sister! I'll still find time to enjoy your journeys!

I just love that shadow shot Sharon! Hey I'm thinking Scratchy would love to have a little kitten to play with. Maybe?

Hope you have a lovely week ahead :)

Wonderful shadows. We've always had kitties, I know what you mean about girls and kittens. But I have to say, I love my sweet standard poodle every bit as much....and she doesn't shed or make me sneeze!

There's a sweet little boy kitten currently being raised across the street. My 9 year old friend, Emma, brings him over daily hoping I'll get too attached and take him. He's so tiny, and I've named him Twig. I'm sure they'd let you have him, Sharon. Just a days drive away.....

I've got six cats and wishin' I had a dog. My animals usually just show up and I find homes for all that I can and keep the rest. No dogs have shown up lately that I couldn't find their owners- so no dog. Nancy brings her dog and her daughter's dog to the office every day, though.
Really beautiful shadow shots. At least you have pussy willows if not kitties.
