old memories

Ok...maybe I got up a little too early this mornin'...right...
as a credit card statement looms out of the corner of my eye,
I've already decided that this day will begin with a smile of irony...
You can never take it too seriously
or you'll get caught up in the drama
of someone else's dis-ease!
BREATHE...
Take a step into your own life this beautiful Saturday morn,
(Sunday down under...)
it is beautiful you know,
even as it storms here in Ioway
there is the smell of a new day all 'round
and I want to get all the goody out of every second!
Hey, Harriet...that's what I'm talkin' about!

Great shadow shot...love the corollation!
About 2 years ago I took "a step into my own life" and started my blog! It sorta RUNS my life now......but I think I am finally getting the hang of "getting the goody out of every second"!!!! Wish I had learned it sooner!
Just take a deep breathe and remember it is only what you make of it, and you usually have a sunny disposition! Besides this is only the 1,396th day of rain this summer and at least something is sunny, even if it is disposition.
iowa to michigan is in a blink of an eye...how often it seems we wake up with the same thoughts. you expressing with your own words...me finding what another has wrote to express mine.
it is awesome how often that occurs. i am smiling with my cup of coffee and thoughts of you my friend... good morning indeed...may the goody flow.
Very fine shadow shot but it was
"You can never take it too seriously
or you'll get caught up in the drama
of someone else's dis-ease!"
that really caught my attention. These words hit me like a guiding light. Thank you for that.
In Casa it's Saturday afternoon now :)
I can see two patterns on your SS,
in the middle white area looks like Finland and around that it looks like a woman with long neck and ear ring :)
Have a great weekend!
Terrific shadow shot as always and your words seriously spoke to me today -- just what I needed to hear/read! Thanks for the wisdom! Enjoy your weekend!
Sylvia
I love your shadow shot - and as always, your words too!
The light falls upon us and the warmth of modern life as well as older memories is enhanced. The sun shines and we appreciate the totality of the wonder of life. Light exudes happiness it seems...
nice reminder to breathe. sometimes I catch myself holding my breath. bad habit of mine when I'm stressed or hungry.
very wise words in your poem and post.
wishing you a good weekend.
Great shadow shot and excellent advice!
O I love your words! Love the ideas of stepping away from someone else's dis-ease! Strange! It is like I am being given a message on several blogs to let the small stuff drift away on the winds! (Just the sideline stresses of being a teacher! Trying not to dwell on it all till Monday!)
I honestly believe that attitude is all about "psyching" the mind! We can make it whatever we want it to be! We have the power!
So, with all that in mind, I am going to brave the grey, cold, rainy, misty weather outside and find some weird photos! I'm sure I won't have much trouble!
Back to your photo! Adore that chair and the shapely shadow across the cushioned seat! Very beautiful! And a Paris connection I notice too!
BIGGEST HUGS dearest sister! Go get 'em!
This is one great shadow. Strong, determined and vintage looking. Nice!
A lone chair that could mean many things. Happy Sunday!
Yellow Dahlia
Interesting seat cover on the chair...Paris,mon amour. Your words are very deep. I need to digest them. Have a great week.
"Getting the goody out of every second" - I LOVE that! I love the whole poem. I think it may be my fave one so far! And a lovely shadow shot also! I hope all goes well for the rest of the weekend Sharon. Good stuff ahead!
Pays the bills, (or not), on Monday. Enjoy the weekend, looking for shadows. I like the ones that are so dark and sharp edged. Nice job.
Peace.
Love this post Sharon! The shadow shot is gorgeous..... as well as the lovely piece of prose...

I like that chair!
An absolutely beautiful shadow shot. I love it. It's frameable!
Nice words of wisdom, too.
Sweet Repose : )
I love this chair .. the seat padding looks antique and absolutely perfect for the chair !
I have to deal with something every day and I swear it won't get the best of me .. after a good cry that is ;-) .. we all deal with what has been dealt in such different ways don't we ? .. storms have a quirky habit of making us guess what the end result will be ;-)
