Shadow Shot Sunday...The Virgo ...

I drink it all in
a seasonal thirst for
color splash and chaos

gardens gone wild

trust me
I had no hand in this
mad rush of carnival
methinks some mad
pirate of posies
spun this yarn
of petal pushers

not I
ye fair Virgo
one of order and harmony
pruned and proper
mistress of working conditions
am I out of order

so be it
I'm also out of time
a rare disorder
for the semi-retired
yet I have the cure
simply pop the pill of labor
nothing that a good pair
of pruners won't cure

bare toes and
sunscreen set into motion
a mile wide smile
and a trip to the trenches
me hearty's

prune on lads n ladies

Dawn dragged me into the yard this mornin'...what a gardens are a mess, but tomorrow will be a day of reckoning, mowing, pruning and dead-heading...
Do you see the rogue milkweed plant...I love it, food for the wandering monarch, this is a natural garden, one truly born of chaos...
but it's my chaos...ahhhh!

Please head on over to Harriet's place and sign up with the rest of the crew...
we're waiting!

Happy 4th of July freeman everywhere!!!

someone made fun of me one time for my "chaos" of a garden...can't help it. i wouldn't have it any other way. i am not about order in my garden. right now i have a cone flower that decided to come up between two bricks in a funky place away from all the other cone flowers...hooray i say...good for you coneflower. let the garden happen as it will...i'll just take care of the weeds.

love your seeing your surroundings...happy freedom day sis!!!

Chaos is the twin of ourlives. Whether you like it or not, it will come one beautiful day. Just grab & embrace & everything will be fine.

Am still enjoying in Phils (or not)LOL

Hope you're in the best of everything.

Hugs lots to my dear BF (bloggie friend)

Since Malcolm retired, he has done the gardening - he is a demon with the secateurs, and weeds are removed as soon as they appear! (but we live out in the country, so we have plenty of unchecked growth all around us). Lovely ohotos, as always I enjoyed your words.

Absolutely in love with it....(from one Virgo to another!) & how we'd love to stroll around your home gazine through the shuffle of flowers :) This is OUR type of gardening as well Sharon! Happy 4th to you as well!

Love LOVE the old house banner, looking deserted and forlorn and then see the American flag flying from it. Beautiful picture. AND of course, you KNOW my gardens are wild. I had to soak my feet for 1/2hour last night in bleach water to be presentable for today. Us barefooted gardeners.... we have to feel the dirt under our feet in the small months we are given...
in fondest.. T.

Adore your chaos! A riot of colour and energy! May we borrow a bit of your sunlight? Haven't seen too much of it lately!

School holidays and I'm writing + writing! How I love this time to write! Now exploring microfiction! So much challenging fun pruning ideas into a pillbox!

But today is different! I see glimmers of sun and I am itching to get out with my camera!

Meant to say I love your "pirate" poem! A bit like an earthy sea shanty! Loved its rollicking rhythm!

Are you slowing down at all? Breathing the colours of summer slowly?? What about the porch swing? Ahhh! Truth be told I am imagining wandering your sunny world! Sounds heavenly!

Enjoy your week dear sister! HUGS + HUGS!

P.S. My word verification is "unrest". A message here? Hmmmm

My yard is in the same need of attention! I love all those echineceas (and those black eyed Susans too). Truly is a carnival in your yard and a very fun and colorful one at that!
