There is no housing shortage at the residence of the Wild Thing, homes abound, you just need a little imagination
and the residents don't mind, they aren't trying
to keep up with those Joneses, they're just doing there job...
and the air fills with the joyous sounds of Springtime,
well sorta, there's a lot to be said about March winds...
WE DON"T LIKE THEM...brrrrrrr...!
But soon we'll be whining about the heat and life will
march on as usual...sorta like our famous Shadow Shots
check us out, we're cool!!!

you will never hear me complain about the heat...i could be in a pool of my own sweat and not utter a word...that's how much i dislike the cold/being cold.
LOVE your feathered friend houses. hope they fly off the shelves.
bring a blanket for coffee this morning...there's a chill in the air. birds are still sing tho!!
Great re-purposing of those lunch boxes! I hope the new residents enjoy them. It should at least spare them from the winds of spring and the oncoming storm....grrrr!
What a neat idea and a great way to repurpose!
that's no lunch box, i say. it's a treasure chest :)
Happy SSS!
These are fantastic, Sharon! And such a terrific idea! What fun! Hope you have a great weekend! Enjoy!

these are very cute shots...
What a fun project Sharon - out Grandpa Harm always had a lunch box like that - he would take it to work every day....when we would visit, he'd even let us play with it :) The next question is....do we still have it? What fun to have it hanging outside for the birds :) Enjoy your weekend!!
you've got it right. I'll be complaining about the heat in no time - because I just can't tolerate it and I love temps in the 50's. perfect!!! I awoke to a dusting of snow this morning - lake effect. but the sun is out and it's a beautiful day. you've put out a new mix of tunes, thank you very much. and I love your creativity with those very cool lunch boxes. now I'm on my way to shadow hop...
Happy SSS!
have a grand weekend Sharon!
Brilliant - I love what you've done with the luch boxes!
The lunch boxes are large, but heavy. I remember carrying these when I was little, and the glass lined thermos was always too heavy. Therefore, as a place to dine in for the birds, they are perfect!
What a clever idea for a bird house! Did you think this up?? You're right about the way time marches on. Sheesh...I can't believe it's 2011 already and we're 1/4 into it!! Happy SSS.
they look soooo adorable :D
awww absolutely beautiful boxes :)

Love the lunch box bird houses. I have one made from an old mailbox-two bird holes in the side.Of course I have never had a bird in it, probably because a metal birdhouse in my part of the state gets about 200 degrees in the summer.!
Those are great! So creative. The shadows are secondary to the object for me today, I really like these. Cold winds blowing here, but getting warmer day after day now, at least that's what the weather prognosticators are saying. Slow snow melt might be good for all I guess.
Hope things are going well with you.
Peace
WOW! this is what I called "REVAMPING" the whole new world?
AM Loving It! You rock my crazy sweet fween.
I love the "Home Tweet HOme" the most. It sounded like me saying "Fween" to yah!
MizYah...Sweetie Repose.
x0x0,
always crazy fween
I LOVE the lunchbox birdhouses! Can't wait to put one in the backyard! Have a great week!
Now that is such an awesome idea! Love those lunch box bird houses! I bet the birds love them even more! Now I have to say that those are really big lunch boxes! Are they a standard sized lunch box you guys have over there? They must have been hell to carry around!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend Sharon :)
Those are awesome! Wow!
Clever way to use those old lunch boxes!
Yes, I WILL be complaining about the heat, I much prefer winter to sweaty July days. But I don't have a pool or live beside a lake. :)
How cute...I love those! Very stylish houses...and sweet shadows. Hope you're having a happy weekend :)
Sharon girl I love your wee homes even if they suspiciously look like mail boxes ? LOL
I am so hoping the temperatures are finally going to rise and I can get to my poor messy garden that is screaming for attention (can get a bit noisy with that ? LOL) .. the sun shines but ooohhhh it is too cold out there yet.
Fingers crossed for Spring and the lottery ? seems both are rather chancy ? haha
Joy : )
Love the bird houses sharon! I will and have never bitched about the heat. Bring it on. I was down on sat. but you weren't home. i had some doll parts and need some soap.Another time.
Love your lunch boxes, so creative and cute, and great shadows.
Also love your blog and humor. Very unique!
