Shadow Shot Sunday...peaceful...

Looking a bit like barbed wire, a branch wraps a
shadowy strand around a wren chalet...
very stylish for this country homestead,
but it's the sun in full regalia...
we are pleased!!!

The redbuds are in full bloom in my hood,
as well as the shadows, this poor tree has
been ravaged by past storms, the tree behind
hit by lightning, pummeling my house with bark shrapnel,
downed branches from passing ice storms
and extreme winds, but still glows in radiant defiance
in Springs' eagerness to please!

Shall we visit Harriet today for a little shadow play...

Ooooo! What a neat shadow on the bird chalet. It looks like an abstract painting (just that part).
I think my red bud is a goner. Hasn't bloomed yet and we have had warmer weather here. Boo hoo...

The barbed wire does not deter the bird, they land far enough away from the barb for comfort. The things that are uncomfortable in person are quite stylis in shadow!

Neat shadow. And I love your shop! You have some wonderful new/old things.

That shadow does indeed look like barbed wire...but I can show you the real thing if you come over for a visit!

A SEEKER OF SHADOWS

A seeker of shadows, they say,
Will keep her eyes peeled night and day
For resident shades
That haunt the dark glades
And never come outside to play.

I don't know what charms me more, your writing style or your photos. I think it must be a good mix of both.

Glad to see that the little tree is still standing and the wren house wasn't blown away.

Amazing how a branch's reflection looks like barbed wire in early spring.
And a redbud!! Oh, yay. I kept seeing them in France and had no idea what they were. Didn't have enough internet access to allow googling. They're gorgeous!

Yay, Spring has arrived at your house. So nice to see those warm shadows, especially on the little house.

I immediately thought it WAS barbed wire. Very cool shadow effect from that branch. Great capture of the shadow. Hope all is good with you.

A lovely, defined shadow! Very dramatic in contrast with the white of the little roof! And so love the angled view in the second photo and the sweet/sad story of the torando survivor!

Pale sliver of sunlight and whimpering Autumn rains in my world today! Soft and soothing in many ways before my week of parent/teacher interviews over 2 nights! It'll be a heavy week! I need to psyche myself and just breathe in the sea air in preparation!

You are clearly so busy in your world of preparing for Spring! Still love the uniqueness of your little gallery of treasures outside your home! (I was going to say "shop" but somehow that seems wrong! Loses the essence of what you are all about! Do you have a special name for it yet or are you just continuing your 'Wild Thing' label?)

Enjoy your week! Hope the flowers bloom soon for you! Biggest hugs dear friend!
