Shadow Shot Sunday...an event...

A shadow in the backdrop of an event in the making.

What's this...a beach...
are we in the Bahamas...
or maybe something a little more exotic,
the Greek Isles perhaps.
Nope...it's a corn field in Iowa...
sounds perfect to me!!!

A major event at
Sisters' Garden & Bloom...
my dearest friend Barb, owner of Sisters',
is staging the wedding of her son Drew...
a more perfect setting,
there is not!

Black and white and greens...such beauty...

PLUS...all will be for sale after the event...

Dreams do come true...

Us shadow shooters find beauty in all that we survey,
so check out the rest of us down under...
Hey, Harriet...whassup!

A wedding? Oh, my! You'll see shadows EVERYWHERE! Happy shooting!

TALKING SHADOWS?

Imagine a shadow could talk
In whisper or rumble or squawk;
Just what would it say
To make you go, “Hey!
You’re just a chip off the old block!”?

Shadows abound here and here

A lawn party? It feels as if we have gone back to victorian times, where no A/C and fancy patios existed. The event then is situated near gardens where the party goers can mingle and converse. The meal would be complete with a spot of tea. We could be in 1895, and a time of a less frenetic pace...

WOW, I want to crash that wedding. I love that 4th photo, showing how close are the cornfields. how fun! this is, in my opinion, a perfect setting for a wedding and reception. are you in the heat yet? it's coming, prepare the chickens and yourself. have a grand time at the wedding/reception. and stay cool Sharon. have a great weekend.

O what a gorgeous setting for a wedding! Black and white features are so vibrant and stylish! And love the shadows filtering round!

Ah my friend! Soon to return to school, just part time initially. It seems I now have a frozen shoulder - forgotten what the proper word is! And that will need a saline injection in the near future! I am still severely limited! But at least the arm is out of the sling!

Still wet, cold weather in my world, so I keep warm and do lots of writing! But when a drizzle of sun appeared yesterday, we ventured out to the beautiful beach world of Point Leo.! (It's about 15 minutes drive away!) And there were surfers there! They must be mad or desperate or both! Of course I took photos!

Today is unsettled! But that's OK! At least yesterday was some time out! I'm happy!

Enjoy your weekend dearest sister! Always thinking of you! Super hugs!

Looks like it is going to be a Beautiful Wedding. I love the black and white theme. And the green corn field in the background makes it even more stunning. Great photos!

Has the wonderful event taken place, or is it still in preparations? Love the sequence of shadows!!

My shadow this week is of a horn cleat [what you use to tie up a boat at the dock]

Hope your weekend has treated you well.

A gala affair. I must have misplaced my invite as I never sent in mt RSVP. What kind of food will be served?
AndI do love the shadow inn that first shot. At first, I thought it might be some kind of puppet show stage or something. The corn gave it away though, I saw Iowa all over this one.

Peace

Looks like a great spot for a wedding! The corn fields as a backdrop are just perfect! Thanks so much for sharing these and I hope you can take some pics of the event to share also. I love a good wedding!

PS - you asked where the snow was in my pic? Haha! The day it starts snowing here in Queensland is the day I move elsewhere. This weather-wimp could not possibly endure snow. The weather forecast folk are predicting an unusual & extreme Queensland low of 1 degree celsius (34 F) for this Wednesday and I'm already freaking out!
