Shadow Shot Sunday

A Gate to My World

Treasures to behold,

simple paths walked not,

yield bounty untold

to a seasoned eye.

I observe, to find in shadow

the spirit of my craft,

hidden gems of rust and corrosion

worthy of my art.

In a game of hide and seek,

grand artifacts await

cultivation into object d'art...

In my small world

a flea market explored,

is the honey hole of life.

That time again, check out Hey, Harriet's shadow shots, join in the fun and play along.

Your photo really leads me into and beyond the image.

I want to walk through your gate & visit your world! Fab photo & the words are wonderful. The last two lines of your poem really appeal to me. "A flea market explored, is the honey hole of life" - Love that! Have a great Sunday :)

Your pic seems to represent fragments of the gypsy soul! Just a touch! Just a glimpse! Just a small shadow! Enigmatic!

And your poem! O wow! The image of honey to be found deep in the flea market is dynamic! Beautiful!

A super match of images and words.
Yes, great treasures abound in things cast off by others.

Sharon - once again you hit it on the head! Perfect shadow.....and it is a find sweet as honey - nothing like someone else's forgotten "junk"!
Thanks for the pic and the poem!

Sharon, what a lovely shadow! You words always give me pause and that's a good thing since I'm more visual than "thinking". I envy anyone that can write. :)

That is truly a hidden gem of rust and corrosion. Great shadow shot. It gives off a fall feeling.

I like your photo. Isn't that unusual to have a metal headboard with a circle on the bottom?
