Shadow Shot Sunday...the surrend'ring...

surrender

strong bones
crumble
brilliance
shadowed
yet still
comforting
a weary trav'ler

surrender

material
dwelling
harmony
peace
passed on
to the living
memories
freedom
hope
life
death
awe

surrender

Shadow Shooters Anonymous...welcome to the growing click of addicts at Hey Harriet's to die for meme...won't you come play too...

I was also going to post pics of the new shop...but I was so busy talking to people and rearranging, that I totally forgot...I promise today.
We had a wonderful first day
made some great new friends(locals)
talked to some old,
made some sales...AND...
Scratchy was soooo good!!!
Normally I don't post on Sundays, but tomorrow will be the exception, as soon as the sun's out(they promised)I'll be shooting away...
Of course I'll be prompted by the sweet tea
from the tea room next door
doesn't take much for me...ha!

it amazes me that so many of lifes pressing problems can be answered by a simple surreneder.. this was a particularly nice verse....

Congrats on getting the shop open - I'm sure you're a welcome addition to the local merchants.

I bet you (and Scratchy) are exhausted. But it is a good exhausted, a new store, new people, a new excitement, a new purpose. I think you actually have been waiting for this since Florida (I left out the last attempt in Muskytown on purpose). Best of Luck Sista.

Congratulations on getting it opened. Another reason to go junkin'. So you have a tearoom next door too. It's the best because we've become our neighbor's taste testers. We now have someone to blame for those extra pounds. Looking forward to the pictures. Jan

Congrats on the opening of your new venture (or should that be adventure!) You sound so excited! And who said you were going to retire! To use your famous word ~ HA!

I really should not be here because I am drowning in school reports and marking exams! But had to take a little time to check on you!

Happy weekend girl!

P.S. Scratchy seems to be enjoying the new world too!

P.P.S. I should have commented on your shadow shot! Love the exploration of what surrender means or could mean! Poetically beautiful!

And the touch of shadow on that old rusty seat is magical!

Lovely post Sharon...although we can't help thinking that we should "surrender" to the junk! Great old chair for the shadow today too!!

I love benches and I love your shot for today! I think it's neat that the plant just decided to grow between the the slats of the seat. Very nicely done!
