Shadow Shot Sunday...Take a Moment...

I welcome the sun...
moments stolen perhaps
or borrowed,
in times of sitting
and reflecting,
har'bring beams
of breath...calm...
yes, welcome to my porch,
come sit in it's shade,
swing ever so slowly
into future,
talk to me of your past
tell me what you seek...
we'll share my path,
we'll pleasure the moment,
relax...
there are many moments,
but they are fleeting,
ever so swiftly now,
have you noticed...
our knowing will lead us here
to this zero point,
it is near...can you feel it...
are you ready
to harbor the dream...
come sit by me on my porch
we'll take of the day
all the memories
strolling into this zero point,
it is near...
come to my porch...
we'll be best friends
we'll share souls,
we'll take a moment...
it is peace you know,
this is what we seek...

right...

Oh, how tempting is that porch and how I'd love to have a chat with you there. And perhaps Tracy could join us and we could soothe her frenzied brow after her week of computer problems. Looks like summer is a'comin' to your part of the world at last!

oh my, love the porch and swing and poem. I close my eyes and feel the nice gentle breeze and can imagine a little squeek from the chains rubbing. Okay, back to reality. Better go dream up supper! Hugs to you.

Thank you for the nice comment that you left on my blog. Iowa is dear to my heart. Before Mother passed we used to travel to S.D. seval times a year. We had our favorite places in every state but when we crossed the Mississippi we were like two giddy school girls!! One of our favorite places was a little town named Williamsburg. There was a very sweet lady there that had a beautiful antique shop in her home and then there were the Amana preserves; we always stocked up. I still have three vintage children's dresses that I purchased at her shop and we often stopped in Walnut. I enjoy your blog and when I read about your shop I wanted to move there and restore one of the shops myself. Mother lost her home to flood in 1999 when we were hit by hurricane Floyd. I'm so glad that you opened the shop, it's wonderful to know that you are bringing life back into that beautiful town.

What a gorgeous porch swing! Get the coffee on. I'm there! I'll pick up some choccie bikkies on the way. I see the Robyn from Hot Fudge will be joining us, so hopefully she'll bake one of her fig tarts :)

I love the shot. It brings me back to when I was a child, playing on the garden swings. And the poem is great too :-)

And your poem has such an aura of warm welcome! Very beautiful!

Great SSS. Looking at this picture I can hear the swing creaking as it rocks empty in a light breeze.
