Sweet stuff...

What is it about old metal beds...especially with their original decals, how sweet is this lil' twin bed...goin' to sisters'...

Cute lil' old cupboard top in chippy white and yellow, how cute is this...this is going to Sisters' too...

Cool white trunk, suitcases and stools...some of the things we love...

Silver and glass, photos and bits of the past...

Love at first sight...

Sharon, your rain mantra seems to be working. The storms predicted for yesterday never materialized. If I hear of any weddings or family reunions scheduled for this spring, I'll let them know who to hire to insure a nice day;)

I'm a big fan of Victorian quadruple plate, the fancier the better - bride's baskets, calling card holders, vases - it's all good!

Hey Sharon!
What is it about tarnished silver? It must be the years of layered tarnish, that somehow speaks to us.
Some people ask me, when they purchase an old piece of silver, " how would I clean it?" I simply say , I don't. Soap and water, no polish please... Your hands will give it a lovely luster, by use. And it would be like wiping away the most beautiful poetry from a slate, that had been written from a loved ones hand. You can't ever make it the same again...

So pretty! What an interesting store this is! I love every post you share. Thanks for visiting my blog and for you sweet comment...I always keep my good eye working...in a clutter of stuff, as you know, it is all about SEEING not just looking.

Oh the suitcases are wonderful! I passed some up at a local thrift shop and when I realized what I had done, of course, they were gone! So, any shoppers at Sister's need to ACT FAST or loose out :-)

And the bed? Can't you see it with a chinielle (sp?) bedspread??

Somehow we found an extra day on our itinerary. Is your shop open on Sat. and are you there? It doesn't look very far from Iowa City where we plan to stay Fri. night. Would love to meet you & see your shop in Palo. Jan

I can't wait for my husband to wake up, so I can tell him that we are going to take a trip to Iowa.
