Shadow Shot Sunday...which came first...

Omelet update...
the egg on the far left is a store bought
(from the Amish farms)
the 2 on the right are my girls pride n joy...
all 4 hens are laying now, it's so fun to go to the coop
and see all 4 heads peaking out at you...
then all at once they start clucking
announcing the joyous event to the world!
Their eggs will eventually get larger,
but for now...these' ll do!
BAWK...

After delivering stuff to Sister's Garden the other day,
I went to my truck to pack 'er up...
and this lil' surprise was waiting on my tailgate!
A gift from my bestest buds Barb and Deb...
all members of the sisterhood of junk
and we wear our badge proud,
thanks girls!!!

And speaking of members...
a tribe called 'shadow shooters',
check us out down yonder in Australia @
Hey,Harriet
FUN!!!

Well, it's official I can't type!

As I was saying, pretty soon you'll be eating so many eggs you eyes will turn yellow!

these shadows are the most fun. that's a whopper of an egg from the Amish. no matter the size, your smaller ones will taste just as good because they're home-grown. those are some darn nice gals in the sisterhood - gifting you that. it's delightful. what a nice surprise. I hope your days are fun and sunny. I bet like us you could use some rain though. take good care Sharon. and happy SSS to you.

There is nothing more inviting than a brown egg, freshly plucked from the nest--even if you have to endure a peck or two!

SHADOW DITTY

Shadows of onyx, shadows of grey,
Shadows to chase my doldrums away;
Shadows each morning, shadows at night,
Shadows, O shadows, you’re my delight!

Sharon that is such a sweet piece to be gifted with !
I am very impressed with your hens .. they are working hard and look at those eggs : )
I have to ask ... has anything happened to that second rooster you were going to ... you know .. get rid of ? I hate to ask but I just can't help myself ?

Love the idea of a shadow shooters' tribe! Great sense of togetherness in this!

And you are so proud of your eggs! Good on you! So enjoy peeking into your enchanting lifestyle!

Our weather is blissful at the moment! Spring heaven and it's not quite Spring! I'm not complaining!

Toddling out to Coolart soon - a short 10min drive from home! Must go see the birds in swamplands doing their Spring nesting! Always love walking around this old property! We have so many wonderful treasures - vineyards, orchards, olde worldes, mountain and of course the sea - here on the peninsula all just outside our backdoor! I feel so fortunate!

Hope you enjoy your Autumn worlds! I still believe Autumn mellows are my favourites!

Biggest hugs dearest sister! Always in my thoughts!

Woo hoo, after 2 weeks, my computer's back online!

I just love those first eggs. They are exciting, special promises of good eating to come.

I just love the little chicken dish from your friends. A lovely find indeed.

Eggs are just the perfect form to show a good shadow. How exciting that two of them are from your own hens! I am jealous!

the shadow or the egg?? wonderful shot!!

Your eggs are making me dissatisfied with mine. Even though "organic" from the store....
they are "pale" by comparison.
