What is it about the lure of chippy white paint that has us in such thrall. Well, for one thing, if it has the look, it is a fairly old piece, but I think the biggest factor is, if you have even the most remote inkling if style and texture, the piece is going to bring a certain amount of pizazz to contemporary thinking. Today's woman are looking out of the box in their decorating skills. They want a statement...not just your Mother's house. But then there is the comfort feeling, of things that remind them of their childhood, like the cool comfy stuff that Granny had on the porch or in the kitchen when she shelled her peas or was slaving over a hot stove.
