The revealing nature of white...and a wish...

Birds, motionless on a platter of new fallen snow...
inventory saved for a showing...statues of which I have three,
the parting will be such sweet sorrow...

She charms and dances like the snow queen...
a plate of Victorian delicacies on a Winters' stage...

White is not the mere absence of color...in the Nor'lunds
it's WINTER...
it's calm, it's bright, it's still...

Landscapes transform to a quiet beauty...

and a secret garden awaits...
is it Spring yet...!

...and a very special birthday wish to my crazy lil' brother...
we've had our ups n downs, the fights, the fun, the Florida, the California,
the Colorado, the Iowa...and beyond...
all a meager part of our lifes' journey for today...
60 is only a number,
life is a state of mind and a vision of what the next journey may be about...
I'm glad you were my brother on this journey...
and hope you'll be a part of the many more!

I love you from the whole of my heart...
and so does Scratchy...but about that cat...!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

At least we have 11 days of Jan. behind us. We had a little snow last night & it's like 8 degrees this a.m. Thankfully, I don't have to leave home today. I've got me some paintin' to do. Stay warm!!!!

What beautiful photos. Looking at all that snow made me colder than I already am. I love your writings! And a very happy birthday to your brother.

You are so right about the quiet beauty of winter. I just wish, snow would fall so that roads are left clear!
Have a wonderful week!
