Shadow Shot ...Did you see the sunrise...

it was beauteous...
pink cheeks blush with the new year
and yes I was there...

And here at SSS, Tracy's gig...
Hope everyone sees the brightest of sunrises today
and our march into the unknown again
fills us with the challenge to unite
and be one with the world...
remember...
it's a new year all over the world!

Lots of snow...last week...

...rain and less snow Thursday...

YES!!!
54 degrees and NO SNOW Friday...
now that's what I'm talkin' about!
However, it's New Years' morn and the windchill is ZERO...
ahhhh...such is life in the Nor'lunds
and it is good!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hey Canada, is it cold enough for ya!!!

We had a warm day yesterday as well, but the wind blew like nobodies business! I still have shed envy! Happy New Year Sis!

no snow on our ground except where it was banked very high from plows. BIG smile on my face. Today I will walk barefoot out in the grass before the snow comes again. Today I will wash windows, and sit on the porch with steaming coffee. Today I will smile and plot my next 365 days, with renewed passion. Today is a good day!

The sun and shadow add a lovely brilliance on any day, the warmth feeling nice in each capture. Cold, thaw, cold, thaw - it is indeed an odd sequencing of weather patterns...

Happy New Year!

Marvelous shadows and I love the pink ones! It does look and sound cold! We've had some sunshine, but it is still pretty chilly! I hope you've had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you a very Happy New Year with lots of love and laughter -- and great photo ops, of course! Have a lovely day, Sharon!

Heck, that's downright BALMY! 54 degrees! Freezing here. It got down to 8 I think last night. Wind chill
bites through everything.
Beautiful sunrise light-great way to kick off a brand new year!

Hey, from Canada, yes, it is cold...enough. Actually today is rather warm compared to Wednesday - Friday which were near -20 Celsius without counting the windchill. Today is a balmy - 5 Celsius here in Edmonton! I'll gladly take that!!

I love the tinge of pink in your first photo! Happy New Year!

A new year, an arbitrary day we pick for new beginnings. Sometimes we forget that every day is the first day of the rest of our lives. Every day a day of new beginnings.

Wonderful snowy shadows! Love all these scenes!

Yay!!!!! We had 40 degrees centigrade on New Year's Eve! No one could believe that at last we had one summer day! And we are now into 3 straight days without rain! That must be a first for months! We are now back to the 20's but we have sun! Unlike poor old flooding Queensland in the north that has major flood issues!

Enjoying my summer holidays! Had a major clean-up inside and outside the house before Christmas and a few extras prior to New Year's eve! The garden needed some major attention after all the rain, but it looks far better now! It feels good getting all this done! Even changed my toothbrush (a ritual at this time of year!!!)

New Year was great! We stayed home, but we were surrounded by fireworks! Great to watch from our verandah!

Happiness in the New Year dearest sister! HUGS + HUGS!

Love the sunrise shadows. Happy 2011!

It was mild yesterday and damp. Today looks about the same. We are laid up with colds and I did not get outside.

Thaw is good. ;-) We had a lot of snow here last Sunday but it is slowly starting to go away.

No, I didn't see the sunrise, although I am a morning person. Just being lazy on a day off!

I hope that 2011 brings you all that you wish for. (sorry about ending the sentence with a preposition)

Happy Shadow Seeking!

The pink tinge of the first photo is so sweet! The other photos just look downright COLD! Yikes! I woke up to sunshine this morning! Was very exciting to see! I now sit here with a fan blasting away as I type this. It's a scorcher today! A little bit of that snow would be nice. Just a little bit. To squelch my hot toes in :)

Happy New Year to you Sharon!

I am totally in love with that blushing pink reflection and shadows!
The weather has been so deadly dull gray here for weeks .. I was getting so excited over the possibility of a sunrise in a clear sky this morning and then a huge bank of cloud moved in and killed it .. you might as well have stabbed me in my heart , I was so looking forward to seeing something special especially with the new year started .. jeez !
But ... I love yours : )
Joy .. hey I love those Junk Whores too ! hehehehe
