What...

Where there's a need...there's a way, right...well, I needed a nightlight in the bathroom. At this age, you don't want to be fumbling around in the dark and I know you all know what I'm talking about.

Well, the bedroom is kinda the same...rearranging the furniture in the middle of the night ain't no fun, not to mention broken toes and bruised knees...

So...having way too much time on my hands, I devised just the cutest nightlights. Not too bright, but just enough to point me in the right direction...I am going in the right direction...right.

Ok, maybe it's a little odd for most of you...but the rest of you, you know who you are...are just delighted in a little strange. Humor is something that is a friend to me. If I can make you raise an eyebrow...it's a point of conversation. But don't tell my family...they'd just add it to the list...you know, the straight-jacket list...

But, if you can't have a good time and create a few laughs...what's the point. Besides, I couldn't pass up these adorable baby heads, one with no eyes and one with just one. A blue orb that glows the most bright blue when lit...like my 'X's' eyes when I brought another piece of furniture home.

Well, you know my fixation for lamps anyway...hmmm...what'll I do with that naked baby doll sitting in the 'swamp' just waving 'hello...be my friend'...

Crack me up! Who cares what anyone else thinks? If it works for you, that's great! And since laughter is so good for us, why not put some in where we can? I know what you mean about families wondering- What the heck? I think mine is thinking the same thing. I know some of my friends are - specially since I jumped off the regular 9-5 job track again.

So you are what goes bump in the night! I always said 2 heads are better than one---especially if one is lighting the way to the outhouse. Put some clothes on that poor baby-I've seen your photos of winter in your country. Debbie

Hey Sharon- You know, Kane is not what it used to be, back in the glory days 10 years ago- BUT we have developed a loyal following ( I have been going 3 straight years now and Judy and I combined about 2 years ago- Judy used to do it during the glory days with white painted furniture too- she knows you)So while we are not wallpapering our rooms with money, we do well. Motto: buy cheap, sell cheap- stay true to our look-stay in the same location so buyers can find you....

Hi Sharon,

Thanks so much for stopping by my new blog - I'm thrilled to have one now.

Regarding the Gold Canyon Candles, I'm truly not sure what they are made of but I can tell you this one jar candle makes my entire condo smell delicious.
You may be able to find out more on their site.

Now, Any friend of Theresa's is surely a friend of mine - and I'm LOVING the pink cottage! Might have to plan a trip to Iowa with these "chicks" I shop with and have you recommend some places for good ole junk.

Nice to meet you ~ will be keeping an eye on your blog.

Creepy and utterly COOL! I had a whole spindle thing going of old doll heads and some of the weighted eyes- It creeped to many people out so I had to dismantle it- I sold the parts in my antique booth. Now I wish I hadn't.

They are fabulous and you know I want one. Okay how much...... I want to make one but, I don't want to burn the house down cause I can't wire it up. You are such an artist, Hey I'm thinking take some to sisters or put them in your store. Cause this is a one of a kind, forget them other lamps. These babies are hot!!!! Pardon the pun. Love em (but you knew I would). Lauri @ chippys

I love your new nightlites. Love how your mind works, sister! I've always kept a jar in my bathroom to hold whatever, cuetips, cottonballs, or something of that nature. But carved into the side of the jar is "Old Nose Hair". I keep it where anyone visiting my wash-up room will see immediately. It gets comments. lol

I'm off to search for old doll heads now.

Those doll heads are so much fun! Finally back online after a terrible week of withdrawals from no computer and find this! I kept scrolling back to look at them in between reading all the comments! I so love them! And the mini bow ties! Definitely in identity crisis! Perfect for a dark walk on a dark night to the mystical realms of the bathroom!

O its good to be back!

You are on to something very unique and cool here... I am a big scaredy cat, though, I would be afraid of them if I had one.

Well that just tickles my fancy! I also have a couple of odd lamps for you...I'll be posting them on my next blog post. One is a lightshade made from a recycled collander. I used it in the kitchen. The other was designed specially for my sewing room and also from recyled stuff...So - you are not alone!

My six year old caught me looking at your post. I had to cover up the screen quickly. Creepy and inspiring. I feel another story coming on. Love the music too.

Very unique! I love them, I really like the one at the bottom that looks like a candle flame is coming from the top. It would fit right in with my macabre decor, upon my victorian gothic revival table :).
