Why I will always love Iowa...

The old homesteads, though fallen to season's ravage, it never fails to bring imaginings of what life may have been like back in the day...

Mmmmm...good(?) food, when the Cheri-top drive-in opens for it's summer season...
sorry TOT, it's Ioway...

Bestest friends and travelers from afar(Minnesota)...

Lovely pics--you really capture that summer feeling--wish I could spend some tome wandering the backroads there--tried to get my Ma to come up and I would take her "home" but no-go. She's not leaving FL no matter how hot it gets--and it is scorching down there!

It's right to love where you have hung your hat. Never been to Iowa, but for some reason several of my friends keep mistaking our Idaho home for being in Iowa. It's one of the "I" states.hehe.

I do love your catalogue of old buildings. I always imagine the people who toiled to build them, what children they bore, how they managed to make ends meet.....

Your Iowa barns are dreamy. Thank you for showing them to us! The old house, too.
