Ol' Timey Christmas at Sister's Garden

Lots of old Christmas ornies are displayed at Sister's Garden all over the tables, the walls, the floors...everywhere you look, neat old stuff. Takes you back to your childhood with those fun bottle brush Christmas trees you only saw once a year for a brief, fleeting moment...one that you wanted to last all year. Sweet little decorative candles in shapes of carolers, snowmen and Santa. Candles and mercury glass also fill the room with sparkling lights, something that you weren't allowed to touch..."you'll hurt yourself." Glitter and tinsel filled your sleep with a magic fairyland of dreams. And the smell of the tree, just dragged in from the tree farm, there is no other smell like it...mmmm, Christmas. Goodies always baking and being stored away for the blessed event...ahhh, Christmas...the land of the child...memories to cherish and pass down the line.

I love Sister's. Do you know if they still sell the silicone bulbs with the lg. lamp base. I bought them the last time we were there & I haven't found them anywhere here. My latest project was to try to make them. What a joke! I used up any profit I could ever make. Also, do they ship? Thanks for being my personal shopper. Have a great weekend. Jan

So much in these photos I have never seen before! Absolutely fascinating! When I'm wealthy, I have very definite intentions to travel over to your Iowa. O it's so good to dream! Right now, in the midst of my scattered life, I am hanging on very tightly to them.

Why is Iowa so far away?

Something about white, I just can't get enough of it! I should say the old crusty, crackly white stuff. White is so calming, that picture makes me want to get in the truck and go to Iowa.

If I don't find a way to get to Iowa in the near future, I think I'm going to lose my mind(what's left of it, anyway). Tn'T
