Camp Junk...

Well here we are at Camp Junk...after a long day of trash pickin', a couple of beers n burgers and fresh-picked sweet corn from the Chateau's own patch...don't git much better'n this...right...

But a trip to Manley's Antiques was first on our list...isn't this just the most to-die-for pink chest...and the lil' pink fern stand...how SWEET is that...

Love the blues in this sweet country setting...LeeAnn just does the best displays...

Well, today Palo and Sisters'...we're on the right track to Junkville...stay tuned for more high adventures...in Ioway...

Hey, is it raining out there in the west? Drizzling here all day. I was planning to go walking this afternoon looking for butterflies to photograph. I'll bet I could count on my fingers the number of butterflies I've seen this year. Poor things must be extinct.

...oh my! the pink chest. you know when i showed things like that in my shop, i always had some crazy shopper who thought they would like to buy it, BUT they were either going to STRIP it or PAINT it white enamel (full paint, not distressed). after a while the rule of the shop was that IF you made the mistake of telling me you were going to change it with paint or stripping, you didn't get to buy the piece! Ron (the husband, and probably more logic part of the shop) told me i was going about this all wrong. the object was to SELL it. but how could i sell it to somebody who didn't love it like it was, and would destroy the primitive beauty of it?
hum. perhaps that is why i don't have a shop anymore?? you think?
BUT i sure had some great pieces for the people who did love them as they were!
Needing rain desparately! black clouds all around us, but no rain.

I guess you had a little salt left over from that sweet corn, so you thought you would just rub it in my wounds, right?
