Drift...

Harsh winds conduct scores
dunes move in sync
frozen wasteland
prairie plains
lie silent
listen...

Operetta from the Earth
melodies float in air
perfect harmony
frozen notes
sing sweet
odes...

Crystal tears of the Mother
Earth's sacred fables
form hollow trails
seek truths
sing praise
live.

"Operetta from the Earth"

nice!

I like the layout of the poem as well...it's all visual with me!

Good morning. I can tell you're OK out there because you're in a poetic mood;) I know almost nothing about the construction of poetry but yours is nice. As the Diva says you added the extra visual aspect.

Be extra careful and tell Scratchy to be careful too. I worry about my friends living alone in extreme weather like this. A fall while shoveling could mean total disaster.

Love the formation of this poem. It pulses out initially with a framework idea, then softens down. Visually and aurally lovely too!

The poem's form is a visual of snowfall for me. Love it. :)

I don't know what I could add that the others haven't said. The "arrows" pulled me along as if I were adrift. Loved it. You are extremely gifted and should think about publishing a collection accompanied by photos of your jewelry. I'd buy it. Tn'T

Sharon, though it still looks so cold to me, but I think I am getting used to all these snow..seeing them everywhere in blogland. Honestly, the picture looks very nice. Is it quiet over there? It's always so noisy over here..but then, we live in terrace houses..maybe too many people ;(

the visual structure of the words, the words themselves, the music, the photo... You made winter warm and contemplative. You made me stop in my tracks and think and feel and wonder. Thank you, Jackie

You MUST send that to Narrative and The Sun.
