Sister's Garden

Sisters is an icon in the Iowa City area, in biz for 15 years, Barb has a style that has been timeless. One old farmhouse(Sisters)and one new house made to look old(Bloom), set on 40 acres of prime Iowa farmland in the middle of Amish country. I am proud to call her my sister of the soul, we have traversed the realm of shopowner/junk addict for many years(14). I sell furniture, soaps and candles out of Barb's shop and have been through the trials and tribulations and ups and downs of small biz ownership with her...and have cried the many tears that life has thrown at us on each others shoulders and have become true soulmates as a result. I love you friend...but can you tell me where is this spring I hear tales of...brrrrr....

i can remember when we lived only a coupla miles from barbi, when she opened... =) i loved her style and alot of my house is 'sisters' and sharon's... we are all so kindred souls. right after barbi opened we moved, so do not git to frequent as much as i would like, and git little barbi hugs!! love the area with the amish... old country store with no electricity... the buggies, the quiet no frills way of life they live. i still remember going to the vet, and gitting some dog food, and jumping in my jeep,it was raining. turned on my windshield wipers, and the amish gentleman in the horse & buggy pulled out a piece of cardboard to cover his head... wow... and we stand in front of the microwave to zap things... and tell it to hurry up for the 30 second warm-up. =) seems like a step back in time, and i soo love it... so love all my barbi & sharons' treasures/furniture, why buy new when u can have such a piece that speaks it's love to ya! love you gals.... thanx for making my house a home... a cozy nest! blessings, and hugs, vikki =)
